Founded in 1966 by Gil Hamm, the original group of thirteen avid Muskie fishermen concentrated on the continual improvement of the Muskie resource through rearing stocking efforts and sound conservation practices including the invention of Catch-n-Release concept. and our Chapter are an active, service oriented, non-profit conservation organization for men, women and children with a focus on impro

vement of Muskellunge fishing through the support of scientific research, scientific based conversation practices carried out by federal and state agencies, support hatcheries and introduction of the species in suitable waters, support the abatement of water pollution, maintain records of habitat, growth and other information for scientific literature, introduce youth to the sport and promote a high quality sport fishery.

2026 North Metro muskies inc High school sectional Muskie tournament. 17 kids participated this year. One Muskie was tricked, lot's of pike were caught. Top two team's each got Spanky Baits rods third place got a bait package. Each kid received 3 baits for participating. Kid's, boat captain's and parents all got a grilled meal.

Pierre Belisle II did a great job running the tournament. Pierre Belisle took over the cooking. Tim Choiniere emergency boat if anything happened.

This Saturday, May 23rd, is the official start of the NMMI League Night! It will be on Wapogasset Lake from 7:00am - 3:00pm.
We will be launching out of Garfield Park.
League is free - however you do need to be a North Metro member!
