Founded in 1966 by Gil Hamm, the original group of thirteen avid Muskie fishermen concentrated on the continual improvement of the Muskie resource through rearing stocking efforts and sound conservation practices including the invention of Catch-n-Release concept. and our Chapter are an active, service oriented, non-profit conservation organization for men, women and children with a focus on impro

vement of Muskellunge fishing through the support of scientific research, scientific based conversation practices carried out by federal and state agencies, support hatcheries and introduction of the species in suitable waters, support the abatement of water pollution, maintain records of habitat, growth and other information for scientific literature, introduce youth to the sport and promote a high quality sport fishery.

The Frank Schneider Memorial Muskie Tournament will be here before you know it. We hope to see all of you back with us this year. Sign up online at twincitiesmuskiesinc.org/fs-tournament/fs-registration/. Entry fees are the same as last year – $110 for adults, $40 for juniors, and $200 for a family of 2 adults and 2 juniors or 1 adult and 3 juniors. 2-Day Saturday/Sunday is $100 for adults, $30 for juniors, and $180 for a family entry.

Online registrations must be made by 10 pm on Labor Day, September 7, 2026. You may also register in person at Thorne Bros. in Blaine through Friday, September 4, 2026. Twin Cities Muskies, Inc. is hosting the Twin Cities Metro Tiger Derby to fund future tiger muskie stocking in local lakes. You can participate by downloading the FishDonkey App and searching for the derby. Entry is $40 plus an app fee, with all proceeds directly funding the local stocking program.
