AVAD Hunt Club AVAD Hunt Club - Our facility also has 5 trap ranges, a s***t field, an OT bunker and a rifle range AVAD Hunt Club is hunting club / shooting range.

We offer pheasant hunts from October 1st to March 31st. We can get quail for large groups if desired.We host UKC field trials in March for pointing breeds. We host high school shooting sports from March 1st to the end of June. Our trap and s***t ranges are open on Tuesday nights from July 1st to October 1st. We will also open by appointment for groups. We offer Olympic trap on scheduled weekends a

nd will open to groups by appointment. We host Junior Olympics trap in May of each year. We have 4 pistol ranges with steel targets. Also offering 3 gun matches as schedule fits. Email us at [email protected] for prices

2026 Iowa Junior Olympics
Location: AVAD Hunt Club, 26321 Hwy 141 C**n Rapids Ia, 50058. 5 miles west of C**n Rapids by intersection of Hwy 141 and Quartz Ave
Date(s): Saturday May 16th (and 17th if needed)
Registration : 9 am
Safety Briefing: 9:30 am
Squadding: 9:40 am
Presentation of clays 9:50 am
Match start 10:00 am
-There will not be any concessions on site- C**n Rapids has a convenience store 5 miles away or bring your own. We do not plan to stop for lunch.
-Each athlete needs to send in an entry card with USA membership number by May 9th.
-Entry cards can be sent to Royce at [email protected] or text to 712-651-8137
-Ammo must be 24 gram or 7/8 oz max with a max speed of 1350 fps. Ammo available for purchase on site.
-State SCTP international trap ran concurrently with JO. JO provides awards for top 3 ladies and men. SCTP awards provided by Iowa DNR
$100 Entry fee to be paid at registration time the day of the event.

The range will be open for practice Friday May 15th at 4 pm or on an earlier date by appointment.

Shoulder is doing better so we can open up on Tuesday evenings this summer if we have friends or CCSS athletes that would like to shoot trap. If wanting to shoot trap on Tuesday nights at 6 pm text me at 712-651-8137 by Tuesday at noon that you will attend and I will post on face book that we will be open for others to join if they desire.
