The Bowling Family

The Lord has blessed our family and given us an opportunity to share His blessings with those who touch our lives and glorify Him. Some time ago we created a non-profit foundation chartered on the premise that we would use our time and talents to encourage Christian action. We chose the name The Ebenezer Acres Foundation as we had recently named our farm, Ebenezer Acres, based on 1 Samuel 7:12. Th

is passage tells of the Israelites winning a great victory in battle and Samuel erecting an “Ebenezer” to memorialize the place where God helped them. The Message translation for 1 Samuel 7:10-12 reads: While Samuel was offering the sacrifice; the Philistines came within range to fight Israel. They panicked—mass confusion!—and ran helter-skelter from Israel. Israel poured out of Mizpah and gave chase, killing Philistines right and left, to a point just beyond Beth Car. Samuel took a single rock and set it upright between Mizpah and Shen. He named it "Ebenezer" (Rock of Help), saying, "This marks the place where God helped us." Even today God hears and answers our prayers just as He did for Samuel so long ago. We have endured battles and difficulties in our lives and have experienced firsthand the Lord working modern day miracles and guiding us through to victories. Our farm and foundation serve as a reminder of God’s victories in our life and are intended to glorify Him alone. As a family we are constantly asking the Lord for help and eagerly accepting God’s peace, wisdom and blessings. The area we are often times remiss in is erecting modern day Ebenezer’s giving God the glory and praise and thanking the body of Christ that He uses to accomplish His work on earth today. From time to time we are able to open our farm to thank you for being the Church, the body of Christ as we believe God intended it to be. The unique blend of talents we witness is nothing short of miraculous and we encourage all to continue to use them to the Glory of God as has been already so richly demonstrated to us. Please see the "Information" tab on our web site for additional details on visiting with us.

Huge thanks to TTU WBB alum Janet Bowling and her husband, Kevin, for welcoming us to Ebenezer Acres for an incredible night of food, fellowship, and fun before we hit the road for the NCAA Tournament. Your kindness and generosity make our journey even more special! Janet Bowling Ebenezer Acres Farm/Foundation

We had a soccer goal donated this week, thanks Eric and Barry! So it’s raining Saturday morning when we go to get it and the question is to take it apart in the rain or pick it up and strap it down as is? Those of you who know me already know the answer😀. Thanks Carson and Thomas for the help!
