August Horse of the Month - Sky ✨🐴

Meet Sky, registered as Praise You in the Storm! This sweet 17-year-old Quarter Horse is a talented member of our team who excels in both Hunter and Western. Sky is especially a star when it comes to Hunter Over Fences, where she gets to show off her athleticism and talent!
Outside of the show ring, Sky is just as lovable. She is a kind and affectionate girl who is happiest when her best horse friend, Treasure, is by her side. Whether she’s soaring over fences, showing Western, or spending time with her bestie, Sky is always a special girl to have around!

Out of the show ring, but still in the saddle! Our team has had an incredible summer full of new experiences—swipe to see what everyone’s been up to!

✨Emma has been taking lessons at her home barn horsin’ around with some old friends!
🏕️Morgan-Blair worked at a summer camp teaching English riding lessons, a big adjustment for a Western rider, but she totally killed it!
⛰️Eliana visited Montana and got to go on an awesome trail ride! She rode an old pack horse named Homer and went 5,000 ft up a mountain with an elevation of 15 miles!!
📸Delaney took some gorgeous senior pictures of her good friend Alex and her horse Teddy!
🐮Kynze has been back at home riding her dad’s roping horse, Boone!
🌾Madi ventured back to Ohio and has been staying busy riding and showing her horse, Sonny!
🏯 Our alumni, Reina, visited the Japanese Race Course Museum in Tokyo!

July Horse of the Month - Roany 🤍🐴

Meet Rhinestone Hiredhand, better known around the barn as Roany! 🤍 Roany is a 22-year-old Quarter Horse with a heart as big as her talent. She shines in our Western Walk-Trot classes and is just as happy showing off in English. When she’s not helping our riders in the ring, you’ll usually find Roany soaking up all the attention and affection she can get or spending time in the pasture with her best horse buddies, Parker and Gracie. Her sweet personality and dependable nature make her a favorite both in and out of the arena.

P.S. If Roany looks familiar you may recognize her from hanging out with the team on the LSC Quad during Mix and Mingle!

June Horse of the Month - Winny 🐴✨

Meet Chippin for the Win, better known around the barn as Winny! This 22-year-old Quarter Horse is a versatile mare who enjoys both English and Western disciplines, but truly shines in Western Walk/Trot competition. Winny’s talent is only part of what makes her special. She has a huge personality and never hesitates to share her opinions with anyone who will listen (or even if they won’t!). As a proud, opinionated mare, she keeps riders and staff on their toes with her sass and unmistakable attitude. Despite her occasional “angry mare” moments, Winny is one of the barn’s favorites. Her unique character, confidence, and charm have earned her a special place in everyone’s heart.

May Horse of the Month - Parker 🐴✨

Our Horse of the Month is a 20-year-old Quarter Horse with the sweetest personality around. She may be small, but she’s full of heart and always ready to shine in the western show pen. From her kind nature to her steady presence, Parker is loved by everyone who gets the chance to know her.

Our favorite and only senior of the 2025-2026 season, Seth Harvey, graduated this week. Seth is graduating with a degree in Animal Sciences with a concentration in Pre Veterinary Sciences and plans on applying to vet school to specialize in equine medicine. Seth was on the Western team for four years and the English team for two. He served as Ag council representative and treasurer of the team. His favorite part of the team was getting to know and learn from our horses. Please join us in congratulating Seth! We are so proud of you and can’t wait to see what you accomplish!!
