The map is showing 5 trails that start at, stop at or go by the marina.

The landing is about 112 miles from the dam according to the Waccamaw River Blue Trail.

The address is 135 Bucksport Rd, Conway, SC 29527. Here is a Google map link for the landing. https://www.google.com/maps/place/Bucksport+Marina/@33.6509087,-79.1000568,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m6!3m5!1s0x89003e126024f719:0xfdb5689f8b6353ef!8m2!3d33.6509043!4d-79.0951859!16s%2Fg%2F1tdy59yn?entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI0MDgyOC4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D

This part of the Waccamaw River is considered tidal. Use this link to review the tides before planning your trip https://www.tide-forecast.com/locations/Bucksport-Waccamaw-River-South-Carolina/tides/latest

The Bucksport Marina is on the west side of the Waccamaw River. It has a great campground, but if you want to stop for a night for free, you can camp up the hill at the public parking lot.

It has a bar that is open during the summer time.

The landing does have bathrooms.

Here are some suggested trails that will have more detail information in posts below.

As you can see, all of the waterways between Enterprise Landing and Bucksport Marina have been paddled. Also all the waterways between Enterprise Landing and Peachtree Landing have been paddled. Plus a paddle down the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway.

This post will show 6 suggested trails in order of the miles paddled and type of paddle (loop/shuttled) with minimal description. Some suggested trails are shorter trails than the long trails shown in the maps for people who want to do shorter trails.

Loop Trails

3.4 Miles Bucksport Marina - Waccamaw Extension across from Bucksport - Bucksport Marina

This paddle explores across from the Bucksport Marina

5 Miles - Bucksport Marina - Waccamaw River - Near Silver Creek - Bucksport Marina Loop

This paddle stays on the Waccamaw River the whole way after leaving Bucksport Marina. It almost reaches Silver Creek and turns around back to Bucksport Marina.

5 Miles - Bucksport Marina - Waccamaw River - Enterprise Landing - Waccamaw River - Bucksport Marina Loop

This paddle stays on the Waccamaw River by going upriver to the Enterprise Landing and back to Enterprise Landing.

6.5 Miles - Bucksport Marina - Waccamaw River - Old River - Enterprise Landing - Waccamaw River - Bucksport Marina Loop

This paddle goes upriver on the Waccamaw River then on the Old River to the Enterprise Landing and back to Bucksport Marina by staying on the Waccamaw River.

6.1 Miles - Bucksport Marina - Waccamaw River - Silver Creek Loop

This paddle starts downriver on the Waccamaw River after leaving Bucksport Marina. It reaches Silver Creek and goes up Silver Creek. When it exits Silver Creek it goes up the Waccamaw River to Bucksport Marina.

11 Miles - Bucksport Marina - Waccamaw River - Peachtree Landing - Waccamaw River - Bucksport Marina Loop

13 Miles - Bucksport Marina - Waccamaw River - Seven Prongs - Old River Loop

This paddle is about visiting all of the creeks/prongs between Enterprise Landing and Bucksport Marina. This can easily be a shorter paddle by not visiting all of the creeks. There is a short between the Waccamaw River and Old River.

3.4 Miles Bucksport Marina - Waccamaw Extension across from Bucksport - Bucksport Marina

This trail actually started at Enterprise Landing, but it can be used by a paddler starting at Bucksport Marina. When the paddler leaves Bucksport Marina, the paddler heads slightly downriver, but cuts quickly across from the marina. The paddler can decide how much they want to explorer. The paddler can explore more than what the map shows.

This is a very nice short paddle, but can be a lot of fun.

If you display the image of the trail on a laptop screen and then scan the QR Code on the map with a smart phone and the AllTrails App is on the phone, the AllTrails map will be displayed on the phone and you will be able to navigate the trail using the app.

If you do not have the app on the smart phone, it will bring the map up via the AllTrails website.

13 Miles - Bucksport Marina - Waccamaw River - Seven Prongs - Old River Loop

This trail goes to the Seven Prongs area between Enterprise Landing and Bucksport Marina and a couple of additional creeks. This paddle actually starts at Enterprise Landing, but trail is not far from Bucksport Marina and still can be used to navigate for the paddler that wants to leave from Bucksport Marina.

The information below is as if you left from Enterprise Landing, but if you leave from Bucksport Marina, you can start the paddle by going upriver to the left and explore the Seven Prongs area. The trail can be shorten by only visiting some of the prongs and by using a shortcut to cut across the Waccamaw River to the other two creeks and then head back to the marina.

We started down river from Enterprise Landing and crossed over to go up the first prong, Oatbed Creek. As we were exiting the prong , we saw our first gator.

We exited to our right towards the orange buoy. Just on the other side of the buoy is a small entrance to the next prong. We went up the prong and came back down, past where we entered, to the end of the prong.

We exited to the left and crossed over the Waccamaw River to Peach Creek. We got to see 3 gators in that creek.

We exited Peach Creek to the left and went up Clark Creek and saw our last gator there.

We left Clark Creek and went down river and stopped at what we call 32 beach. We call it that because it is near navigational marker 32. I have added the map that shows the navigational marks between Enterprise Landing and Bucksport Marina. The markers help boaters where they are and lots of the time these markers are at the entrance of creeks and other key areas.

The beach is a nice camping beach, if you don't mind camping where there is a grave for a dog that dies May 2024.

We left and went down river to the entrance to Old River to go back up to the rest of the Seven Prongs. The first prong has an old shrimp boat at the entrance. So we call it Shrimp Boat Creek.

We then paddled up the rest of the prongs. There were a lot of extensions on all of the prongs and creeks, but didn't have time to do them all.

I plan on visiting everyone of these creeks and prongs again, but I plan on creating a map for each of them. I will start the trail at the beginning and end it as I exited. Then do it all over again for the next trail. This way it will be easier to know where each extension it is and know exactly the mileage for each trail. That way if someone is looking at doing this paddle, but wants to make it shorter. They decide which creek or prong to skip.

I will be adding this paddle soon to my Kayak Trails of the Waccamaw River - Enterprise Landing page and to the Bucksport Marina page for those paddlers that live on that side of the river.

This post shows 2 trails that actually start from Enterprise Landing to Bucksport Marina, but can be used by starting at Bucksport Marina. The 2 trails can actually be broken down into 4 trails as indicated above.

1 trail is a one way trail, but can be used as a loop, using the map to navigate. It would be about a 5 mile loop without any exploring.

The other map is a loop paddle, with some exploring into some of the Waccamaw River extensions.

14.5 miles Bucksport Marina - Waccamaw River - Wacca Wache Marina - miles Bucksport Marina

This paddle goes from Bucksport Marina to Wacca Wache Marina. It is about a 7 mile paddle one way. It would be a great loop paddle of about 14.5 miles. If you plan the tides correctly, you could make Wacca Wacche Marina a great rest stop at the restaurant here at the Wacca Wache marina.

The trail that is being shown here has not actually been done, but I wanted to show it as a trail that would be fun to do. It is made up of 3 trails put together and using parts of the 3 trails to make this trail. The trail starts a Bucksport Marina and ends at Hast Point. Details of the paddle will be discussed after the individual trails are discussed.

The 2nd map shows a trail from YauHannah Landing to Hasty Point, which is a trail that stays on the Great P*e Dee River.

The 3rd map is a trail that starts at Bucksport Marina to Port Harrelson Landing. This trail starts on the Waccamaw River and turns up Bull Creek.

The 4th map starts a YauHannah Landing and goes down the Great P*e Dee River and turns on to the Little Bull Creek. When it reaches the Bull Creek, it turns up and ends back at the YauHanna Landing.

The 1st map is the suggested trail. It starts at Bucksport Marina and goes down the Waccamaw River and turns up Bull Creek at around the 4 miles. When Little Bull Creek is reached at about the 6.5 miles, the trail turns into the Little Bull Creek. Right that point is a great rest stop. The trail turns down the Great P*e Dee River at about 9.5 miles. At times there has been a log jam seen here and may cause a portage. The trail ends at Hast point at 14 miles.
