I’m going to wish I had taken more pictures of this project. Very rusted and pitted at the start. First two pictures are the two hammers one was taken off and cleaned up and re installed after that side was also cleaned up. The side that is done had a large rusty area that also extended onto the barrel release lever. That all cleaned up pretty well. I need to finish the rest of it but it’s coming out better than expected. Barrels will be a challenge but the think it will all come together. This will eventually be a wall hanger.

New single shot adapters are here and in these two Remingtons. 001 had to have a new bolt handle installed months ago and wasn’t lining up correctly, that’s also resolved today. They are good to go.

This is a WW1, 8mm Labelle. It had a broken safety lug which the owner had a replacement part for. I replaced the part and cleaned it up a little. I was amazed at how light the trigger was on this piece, a long take up but once you hit the wall it was a crisp light 5 pounds 4.1 ounces. I’ve never worked on one of these rifles before and I thank the owner for the privilege of trusting me with this old piece of history. She’s up and running again.

Getting everything ready for the girls camp, staff will be coming back starting in May. So I’m going through them all again before then. I’m excited for warmer weather and getting out to shoot this summer.
