The end of an era. I’m taking my final bow. 💛
As I take plaques down, send trophies home with dancers and say my goodbyes to the dancers I love so much and see them crying when they hug me before they leave, my heart hurts.
I held it together until Reagan hugged me. She has been with me here since I opened my doors in Nov. 2021. She was crying and kept hugging me. I fought like hell for this place because of these dancers. Mentally, I should have walked away a long time ago. But I wanted to keep giving what I could because I saw the joy I was able to bring into their lives. They loved it here.
Now I look at the bare walls that once held every drop of sweat from my dancers’ hard work. I see the tears of frustration I’d cry when a disgruntled dance mom would purposely try to ruin my business, the love I poured into each and every dancer...
Our home away from home. Our safe space to freely express ourselves without any judgment and peer pressure. Our family who understood why we love dance so much. Our dreams and aspirations. Our memories.
Those of you who stuck by my side through everything and loved and supported me these past five years, thank you. I love you all!
Life threw a curveball we didn’t expect, but we will come out stronger than ever.
And thank you for making this year’s recital the best one we had. We sure went out with a bang! 😘
