At the Dispute Resolution Center, we love any opportunity to connect with community leaders and inspire the next generation to learn more about how our legal and dispute resolution systems work together to serve our community.

🌍🤝 Building Peace 🤝🌍

This past week, we were honored to welcome students participating in the Creating Friendships for Peace, Inc. program.

These students are from Cyprus and come from both Turkish and Greek backgrounds. While their communities have experienced generations of conflict, this program gives them the opportunity to not only learn about one another's cultures and build lasting friendships, but also to discover that understanding begins with a conversation.

The Dispute Resolution Center of Montgomery County is proud to be part of their journey by teaching conflict resolution and mediation skills. Through activities centered on communication, active listening, empathy, and peaceful problem-solving, these students are gaining tools they can take home and use for years to come.

We are so grateful to play a small part in helping them build a more peaceful future.
