Pretty solid night at the track. Had two features to make up for the rain out a few weeks back. Car handled great in practice and didn’t change a thing to start the night.

Rolled off P8 for the first one and was able to move up to 5th quickly and then after a few cautions was able to bring it home P4.

After that strong run there was a lot of confidence heading into the second feature where I’d start P3. But on the start there was some chaos as the car in front of me just didn’t go and I was boxed in until I was able to get clear. When the dust settled I was once again in P8. I was able to pick off a few cars before one of the cars in front of me started dumping fluid all over the track, turning the race into an exhibition of everyone’s drifting skills. At the end of the night it was a P7.

On one hand it was awesome to show up at the track with a car that was capable of winning. When you run the same lap times as the cars that won that’s a really encouraging sign. On the other hand it feels like the results could have been a little better, but that’s racing.

It was… a night at the track?

Car unloaded decent in practice. Was surprised it was a little loose because it shouldn’t have been but that’s this car for ya. Rolled off P4 in the heat race. Was working my way to the inside of the 24 when my buddy Matt parked his car into the wall. Didn’t have anywhere to go and got caught up and a flat tire ended all of that. Car is fine but the fender I just replaced needs another replacing. Racing things happen when you’re racing. Good news was everyone was good to continue…

Our feature was up next when the rains came. Season is starting to wind down and I think I’ll probably come back out for the special on the 12th and call it a season.

Good, clean night at the track. Car unloaded on a rail in practice but a bad pill draw would start me 6th in the heat race. Got to 5th and had to settle there. Started 4th in the feature but got shuffled back to 6th after some early chaos. Worked my way back up to 5th but wore out my tires in the process and ran out of time.

I think the handling is finally in a really good place. It was stable all night until I burned the right rear up. Now just need to put some attention to finding a little more speed.

Thanks to my dad and everyone who helped in the shop putting the car back together after last week’s nonsense.
