This Sunday June 7th is a Trap Shooting competition at the club. We need help! Especially with scoring. Show up at 930 am if you are interested. Ron, the man in charge will pay $20 to any young person, (age 10 and up) to help with scoring.

Show up a little early if you have questions. He says it's fairly easy to learn, and he will teach the kids how to score. Basically, they sit on a chair outside wearing ear protection and mark the hits and misses on a clip board.

As the volunteer secretary of the Monroe Sportsman’s Club, I handle memberships—collecting dues, sending out cards, and keeping everything organized. All of us on the board have full‑time jobs, so we fit club duties in as we can. I check the PO Box about once a week, give or take, depending on my schedule.
Membership cards go out as soon as I receive your check. However, checks may not be cashed for up to six weeks because I turn them in to the treasurer at our monthly meeting on the first Tuesday of each month.
I’ve gotten a few emails lately asking why checks haven’t cleared yet—even for payments mailed only two weeks ago—so I wanted to share this quick explanation of how the process works.

We would like to thank everyone again for coming out last night to our reverse raffle and for all the continued support for our club. We could not do what we do without you.

Club dues were due on December 31st, and so far only about half of our members have submitted their payments. Sending out reminder notices takes considerable extra time, so we’re asking everyone who hasn’t paid yet to please take care of it promptly. Your cooperation helps keep everything running smoothly for the whole club.
