Huge shout out to Conneaut High School NHS!!! We may have lost against the police but we wanted to make sure they felt special! Everyone seemed to have an awesome time and many laughs! We are truly proud of our community and how everyone comes together for support!

In an effort to settle the age-old debate of “who really runs this town,” Conneaut IAFF Local 651 will be facing off against the Conneaut FOP Lodge 51 in a high-stakes, no-holds-barred, slightly out-of-shape dodgeball tournament.

Expect elite athleticism, questionable stretching routines, and at least one pulled hamstring before the first whistle.

Today marks a truly historic moment for the City of Conneaut and our fire department. For the first time in our 113 year history, all 12 professional members of Conneaut IAFF Local 651 were officially sworn in together.

This isn’t just a ceremony — it’s a milestone. It represents progress, professionalism, unity, and a shared commitment to serving the City of Conneaut at the highest level. Each of these members has answered the call to protect lives, property, and one another, and today they stood shoulder to shoulder to take that oath.

A special thank you to Conneaut Municipal Court Judge Nick Iarocci and City Manager Nick Sanford for making this happen.

Conneaut Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 51 would like to extend a sincere thank you to all of our first responders who are out working through today’s storm.
Thank you to our police officers, fire and EMS personnel for answering the call and keeping our community safe in difficult conditions. A special thank you to our dispatchers, who work behind the scenes coordinating responses and keeping everyone informed — your role is critical and deeply appreciated.
