The fun has started…we started with welcome to Oregon get together…We then gathered in the afternoon at my sisters winery The Sunshine Mill for an informative tour of the historic building…and epic rooftop views finished our evening…We gathered at HHR and the video shows just the start to@our fun…more videos coming…enjoy like we are….were off to out lead in the air and fun in our life…

We are heartbroken, devastated and in shock. Max, our constant English cocker spaniel went over the rainbow bridge yesterday. It hits us in waves the as the reality hits us he’s really gone. Max came to us by the way of Ethan Pippitt 2, owner of standing stone, Kennels. When we were in search of the perfect Lodge dog, we settled on in English field Cocker.. our previous experiences with the Cocker Breed was with American Cockers. One of our former Guides had an English Cocker that he asked if he could use it instead of the traditional labradors that were being used at the time. To that point, we had never seen a small breed flesh and retrieve Upland birds. We knew the Breed would be a success when Guest would call back and tell us they could not remember the Guide‘s name but his Dogs‘s name was Charlie.. in researching this Breed I found I liked the size their enthusiasm and focus, focused flushing and retrieving in the field and then coming into the house to lay down and . He was so loved, (Max always acted like you and he had the best connection) other EFC have been named after him. It is also special to have his puppies@come back and hunt at the ranch…He is also responsible for many of our guests acquiring the EFC breed… as we grieve, we will continue to post photos of Max…
We’ll miss him tremendously but we are grateful and blessed for the 12 years we had with him. Until we meet again…we love you Max 💔 Dennis & Mindi

Fall afternoons chukar hunting in the hills of north central Oregon, the scenery is breathtaking …watching the dogs work is truly magical…if you’re a bird hunter, you know this to be true…they are the best part of the experience…in search of chukar, when the one pointer locks up while the other pointer honors…it’s memories like this photo you never forget and share with your family, friends and colleagues
