One of the hardest parts of coaching gymnastics? Knowing when it’s time to move up. ❤️

Right now, I have girls repeating a level because another year is exactly what they need — to get stronger, cleaner, more confident and truly master the basics.

And I have others right on the line.

For some, staying would mean a third year at the same level. They’re older, they understand where they are, and I’ve given them a choice.

Move up — but understand what that means.

This might not be your year of medals and high scores. It might be your year of GROWTH.

New skills. Hard days. Lower scores. Frustration. And a whole lot of learning.

There isn’t one right path through gymnastics.

Sometimes staying back IS progress.

And sometimes choosing the harder road forward is progress too. ❤️

✨ Why Progress in Gymnastics Sometimes Looks “Slow” ✨

One of the biggest questions we get is:
“Why is my child still in the same level?”

Here’s the truth ⬇️
Gymnastics isn’t about rushing to the next level. It’s about building a strong foundation—just like building a house. 🏠 If the base isn’t solid, everything above it will crumble.

✅ Skills must be safe, strong, and consistent before moving up.
✅ Athletes develop “invisible skills” too—like strength, confidence, form, and discipline.
✅ Every child’s journey is unique. Some fly through early levels, others take more time—but both paths can lead to incredible growth.

So if your child stays in a level longer than expected, that’s not a setback—it’s an investment in their future success and safety. 💪🤸‍♀️

Remember: progress isn’t measured only by new levels—it’s measured in stronger cartwheels, straighter handstands, more confidence, and the joy of saying, “I did it!” 🎉
