The practical rifle match scheduled for Sunday the 24th will be held in the Pistol Bays due flooding in Rifle Range 2. The Pistol Bays will be closed on Saturday, 8/23 from noon until about 3:00pm , and on Sunday, 8/24 from 9:00am until about 2:00pm .

The “OSC” is located just west of Oconomowoc, off Highway F in Sullivan, Wisconsin. The Oconomowoc Sportsman’s Club offers the outdoors person the finest educational, recreational grounds and facilities in the area.

What: NRA Range Safety Officer Certification (https://rso.nra.org/)

When: Saturday, 12 July 2025, Tentatively 7:30 am to 4:30 pm

Where: Oconomowoc Sportsmans Club, N5799 Mill Road, Sullivan, WI

Who: Open to club members and non-club members.

Why: Provide an opportunity for range safety officer certification, safer shooters, and safer ranges. Note that this does not qualify as IDPA Safety Officer or USPSA Range Officer certification. For those interested in action shooting sport range officer training, we will hold an additional 1 hour clinic the day of training. Initial NRA certification is good for 6 years. Each subsequent 2-year certification is $30. No additional training or testing is required for recertification.

Cost: $100 class fee plus $30 registration with NRA. OSC will sponsor $50 for the first 10 OSC club members to sign up. Registration: PayPal F&F $50 to [email protected]. Include in the comments email address and whether you are an OSC member or not.
