💪3 REASONS YOU NEED TO BUILD MUSCLE‼️
“I’m convinced MUSCLE is the KEY to LIFE!” ... Coach W**e

1. BLOOD SUGAR CONTROL → Muscle is a major site for glucose disposal. More active muscle gives your body a bigger place to put and use glucose.

2. METABOLIC EFFICIENCY → Muscle improves insulin sensitivity, supports energy metabolism and helps create a more metabolically capable body.

3. MOBILITY + LONGEVITY → Strength helps you walk, climb, lift, balance and stay independent as you age. Maintaining muscle is a HUGE part of maintaining your quality of life.

We spend so much time trying to LOSE WEIGHT... when we should spend more time trying to BUILD MUSCLE‼️

🎙️ WHAT ARE TWO OF THE BIGGEST FITNESS LIES⁉️

Here are TWO that continue to get pushed when it comes to fat loss...
✅ 1. YOU NEED CARDIO TO GET LEAN‼️
Cardio has benefits and moving is good, but it should never dominate the conversation when it comes to fat-loss. Lift weights, build muscle, move more daily and not only will you keep your conditioning up but you will increase your rate of burn.

✅ 2. FAT LOSS IS ONLY ABOUT CALORIES
Calories MATTER, true... but FOCUSING on calories to get healthy or lose fat is a FLAT-OUT LIE‼️ Living on 1,200 calories while ignoring protein, micronutrients, food quality, sleep, hormones, recovery and metabolic health is a terrible long-term strategy.

🎙️ PERFORMANCE TIP: 5 THINGS THAT ACTUALLY MAKE YOU FASTER‼️

SPRINTING IS A SKILL. And like any other skill, it has to be practiced... https://youtu.be/cN79iPs-SZY

Outside of actually sprinting, here are 5 things I believe every young athlete should be doing to develop SPEED:
1. BOUNDING → Develop horizontal force, coordination and explosive power.
2. STIFF-LEG BOUNDING → Train stiffness, elastic/reactive qualities and the ability to strike the ground effectively at higher velocities.
3. BULGARIAN SPLIT SQUATS → Build unilateral strength through the glutes, hamstrings and adductors. If you can’t produce FORCE, you’re limiting your ability to accelerate.
4. JUMP ROPE → Simple? Absolutely. Effective? YES. Develop rhythm, coordination, ankle stiffness and the ability to get off the ground QUICKLY.
5. RDLs → Build the posterior chain. Strong hamstrings and powerful hip extension matter when you’re trying to produce FORCE into the ground.

🎙️ SHOULD I EAT BEFORE OR AFTER MY WORKOUT⁉️
IT DEPENDS on your goal, workout intensity, training time, what you’ve eaten earlier, etc...

✅ PERFORMANCE COMES FIRST ... If training fasted makes you feel weak and causes you to train SOFT than for goodness sake eat something.
✅ WOMEN vs MEN ... Ladies, especially before demanding sessions, consider some protein with a little carbohydrate and/or fat rather than going at it FASTED.
✅ MEN vs WOMEN ... Men, particularly with early-morning sessions, you can perform perfectly well without eating first.
✅ TRAINING LATER? EAT FIRST ... If you’ve been awake for hours, don’t intentionally starve yourself before a hard workout. Training quality matters more...
✅ BUILDING MUSCLE? ... Going into your workout being protein-fed makes sense, particularly when hypertrophy and performance are the goals.

AND What about AFTER? If you trained fasted, I’d prioritize getting PROTEIN + NUTRITION in relatively soon afterward. If you ate a solid meal shortly before training, you don’t need to panic and slam a protein shake the second your last set ends. Your “anabolic window” isn’t 30 minutes.

Don’t sacrifice the QUALITY of your training because somebody convinced you that working out hungry automatically burns more body fat.

🏛️4 PILLARS OF HEALTH → Everyone Should Have‼️

1. MUSCLE💪
Muscle helps support glucose control, metabolism, bone health, physical capacity and independence as you age.

2. NUTRITION🥑
Build your diet around protein and real, minimally processed foods. What you eat becomes the raw material your body uses to build, repair and function.

3. SLEEP💤
You can’t consistently out-train poor recovery. Aim for 7-9 quality hours and keep your sleep/wake schedule as consistent as possible.

4. MOVEMENT🚶🏼
Walk daily, take the stairs, move after meals and stay physically active... NEAT is King👑

Supplements can HELP. Biohacks can HELP. Technology can HELP. But none of them replace these FOUNDATIONAL Pillars...

🍬🍭WHY AM I ALWAYS CRAVING SUGAR⁉️

WHY AM I CRAVING IT⁉️
1. KID EATING HABITS ... A high-sugar / carb meal spikes you up... then drops you down. Your brain wants another quick hit of energy. We train this by how we feed kids so it becomes an ADDICTION!!
2. NOT ENOUGH PROTEIN ... If your meals aren’t keeping you full, you’re much more likely to go hunting for something sweet. Protein keeps you hungry while carbs/sugar makes you hungry.
3. POOR SLEEP ... Being tired increases hunger and makes high-calorie foods WAY more appealing... ESPECIALLY SUGAR‼️
4. STRESS ... Chronic stress increases your appetite and make comfort foods harder to resist. If you want to reduce sugar you have to reduce stress.
5. HABIT ... Sometimes dessert every night isn’t hunger... you’ve simply TRAINED your brain to expect it.

WHAT CAN I DO⁉️
👉 Build meals around PROTEIN + whole foods
👉 Eat enough during the day instead of starving yourself
👉 Choose fruit when you want something sweet
👉 Prioritize sleep and for gosh-sake manage your stress
👉 Stop keeping your biggest trigger foods within arm’s reach

💵 CAN YOU STILL BUILD MUSCLE AFTER AGE 50⁉️

💯... You don’t suddenly lose the ability to build muscle because you turned 50. But you DO need to become more intentional about TRAINING, PROTEIN, and RECOVERY.

1. LIFT WEIGHTS ... Your muscles still need a reason to adapt. PICK BIG MOVEMENTS like Squats, Bench, Pull Ups, etc... and PLEASE gradually increase resistance so you force Adaptation
2. PRIORITIZE PROTEIN ... Protein becomes even MORE important as we age. Spread high-quality protein throughout the day and make each meal count.
3. TRAIN F-ing HARD ... You need enough intensity to stimulate muscle, but you don’t need to destroy your joints or leave every workout crawling out of the gym. Hire a Coach.
4. RECOVERY MATTERS MORE ... Sleep, hydration, minerals, mobility, fascia, stress management and adequate calories.
5. BE CONSISTENT ... Three intelligently programmed strength sessions every week for YEARS will beat six random workouts followed by three weeks off.

STOP 🛑 Doing AGILITY LADDER Drills To Get Faster ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐If the goal is SPEED… TRAIN SPEED. Sprint. Recover. Sprint FAST ag...

STOP 🛑 Doing AGILITY LADDER Drills To Get Faster ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

If the goal is SPEED… TRAIN SPEED. Sprint. Recover. Sprint FAST again... https://youtu.be/cN79iPs-SZY

If you’re using an AGILITY LADDER to make your athlete FASTER… you’re training the wrong thing. Look, we use agility ladders and they aren’t useless... but FAST FEET do NOT automatically create a FAST ATHLETE.
✅ SPEED requires FORCE into the ground
✅ ACCELERATION requires the ability to project your body forward
✅ SPRINTING requires proper mechanics, timing and coordination
✅ POWER requires producing FORCE quickly
✅ And most importantly… getting faster requires actually SPRINTING FAST

Too many youth athletes spend their “speed training” doing endless ladder patterns, cone drills and conditioning circuits. They get tired. Their feet move quickly. It LOOKS athletic… But are they actually getting FASTER?

🏃SPEED IS ABOUT FORCE + VELOCITY
Watch great sprinters accelerate. They’re not taking a bunch of tiny, quick steps underneath themselves. They’re creating FORCE, projecting their body forward and covering ground with every stride. That’s why we train acceleration mechanics, sprint technique, strength, power and explosive movement → not just “quick feet.”

🚨AGILITY LADDERS ARE NOT BAD... They can be useful for coordination, rhythm, foot placement, warm-ups and teaching younger athletes how to control their bodies. My main point is here is thinking FASTER FEET = FASTER ATHLETE.

🎙️ HOW CAN YOU NATURALLY BOOST TESTOSTERONE⁉️
I am NOT opposed to HRT or TRT ... but before you go down the route I think we NEED to coach people on possible ways to naturally BOOST their Testosterone levels:

✅ LIFT HEAVY ... Prioritize progressive resistance training and building muscle.
✅ SLEEP 7–9 HOURS ... Poor sleep drastically lowers testosterone and recovery.
✅ LOSE BODY FAT ... Especially visceral fat. Improving body composition can improve the hormonal environment.
✅ EAT ENOUGH CALORIES ... Crash dieting and aggressive calorie restriction ruin hormones.
✅ EAT HEALTHY FATS ... Eggs, extra-virgin olive oil, avocado, fatty fish and quality meats provide fats and nutrients (like Zinc) that are vital for hormone production.
✅ ZINC ... Zinc deficiency can negatively affect testosterone: oysters, beef, eggs, pumpkin seeds or supplement.
✅ VITAMIN D ... Sunlight exposure (especially morning) and supplement when testing indicates you need it.
✅ MAGNESIUM ... Food first, but magnesium supplementation can be useful when intake or status is inadequate.
✅ CHRONIC STRESS ... Constant psychological and physiological stress can work against healthy reproductive hormone signaling.
✅ LIMIT EXCESSIVE ALCOHOL ... Your weekend habits still count. Heavy alcohol consumption negatively affects testosterone, sleep, recovery and body composition.

Build the FOUNDATION first. Then if you’re still experiencing symptoms of low testosterone, TEST... Analyze the bigger hormonal and metabolic picture, and then hop on HRT or TRT if deemed necessary.

🔥 4 TIPS TO GET LEANER... Very Simple

Want to actually LOOK leaner⁉️ Getting lean isn’t about doing MORE and eating LESS until you’re miserable. Here are 4 EASY things I would focus on:

✅ 1. WALK 10 MINUTES AFTER YOUR BIGGEST MEALS
Instead of adding another brutal cardio session, use short post-meal walks to increase daily movement and improve post-meal glucose control.
✅ 2. MAKE YOUR FIRST MEAL PROTEIN-HEAVY
Aim for roughly 30-40g of quality protein.
✅ 3. STOP DRINKING YOUR CALORIES
Alcohol, sugary coffees, juice, soda and “healthy” drinks can quietly add hundreds of calories without filling you up.
✅ 4. TRAIN TO KEEP MUSCLE... NOT TO BURN CALORIES
Lift heavy enough to give your body a reason to KEEP its muscle while your nutrition creates the calorie deficit.
