ISR NH’s swim season officially starts tomorrow and I am SO excited to get started. I’ve had many new faces here on my instagram account lately, so I wanted to introduce myself to kick off the season! 👋
1. My name is Olivia Chouinard. I am a certified Infant Swimming Resource Instructor and I am pleased to serve the families of NH, specifically in the capital region. I have been certified since 2022 and have had the honor of teaching almost 200 students to swim, float, and thrive in the water.
2. I am a mom to 4 kids (ages 5-10) and wife to Andy, who is an elementary school principal in a nearby district. I was originally inspired to become an ISR instructor when my children were small and we moved into a home with a pool in our backyard. Suddenly, the dangers of drowning became very real to me. After realizing that there were no ISR instructors in the state of NH, I decided to become certified myself. An effort to keep my children safe around our backyard pool has transformed into a passion for providing these skills to the children and families in my community.
3. I grew up in Tucson, AZ and moved to New Hampshire 14 years ago. I have grown to love New England for its beauty, the seasons, and the people, but I will always be a desert rat at heart!
4. Aside from teaching ISR lessons, my favorite hobbies include reading, hiking, traveling, singing, and spending time with my family and friends.
I absolutely LOVE what I get to do for a job. It truly is an honor to work with your children and to have the privilege of getting to know them and their amazing families. I am really excited to get this swim season started and can’t wait to see what is in store for this year!
