All trails are now open! So what has changed…
For the main loop, you will now always use the higher trail running along the hillside to connect between the North Parking Lot and Wild Onions, Woodchuck, and the rest of the loop.
The biggest change is with the lower trail which will now serve as a return to Hard Cider and the North Parking Lot (red direction) or a short cut to Wood Chuck and Wild Onions (Yellow Direction). This effectively creates a 1.5 mile loop off the North Parking lot (map shows the loop in better detail) for kids, beginner riders, or those just looking for something a little less than doing the whole loop. It builds on the pump track and 0.5 mile kids loop we’ve added to give even more opportunity to progress. You can also add on other loops like a choose your own adventure.
And, although not officially marked, those looking for quicker access to the jump trail can use this loop and then out and back on the straight section to the jump trail (please follow normal red/yellow direction on the loop).
Thank you for your patience over the past week as we constructed these trails. We’ll be out more for additional fine tuning as the trail bed wears in and sets up. A huge thank you for the support of Kent County Parks and Shear Outdoors, we couldn’t have done it without out them!
