The Hub-City Gymrats Basketball Academy was founded in 1992 in Compton, CA. Our main purpose is to provide an organized structure for youths to learn, train, develop and compete at the highest levels of basketball. er’s chance to achieve their dreams. No matter if most kids will never play professional or college basketball, all kids deserve the chance to live out their dreams. The Hub-City Gymrats is a nationally recognized organization that takes great pride in preparing our players to give their best effort on and off the floor. We provide instruction for youth boys teams from 9u – 17u. Unlike the revolving door of players most teams are known for, we have been able to develop of level of consistency within our organization that allows our teams to maintain its core group from year to year. This enables our kids to not only become more familiar with the coach’s system, but also build a high level of comradery with their teammates. Because we know that these kids will spend most of their free time with their teammates, their teammates will become their friends and their friends an extension of their family. Victories and championships will always bring us great pride, but our most rewarding experience is knowing we are using the sport of basketball to help prepare our players for life.
