I haven’t posted on this page in quite some time (we’ve been busy at Rep Eaters CrossFit!). However, I am looking for a few new clients to fill some empty time slots. The holidays are fast approaching and some added accountability along with some exercise and dietary discipline come in handy. I offer in person and virtual training.

I’m currently offering 20% off in person training and 10% off virtual training to new clients! (must purchase at least 8 sessions used at a minimum of one time/week)

I’m very excited to announce the beginning of a new chapter in my career. I’m honored and grateful for the opportunity to become the co-owner of Rep Eaters CrossFit with Robert Bradley Johnson (Coach AKA). Thank you to Steve and Amanda Mann for the opportunity and for all the work you have done to build this wonderful community that is already in place. My workout buddy today - workout was a modified version of todays WOD so it could be completed at home.

For time:

(Part A) 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10 Dumbbell Thrusters (30 # for me, 5 # for little man)

(Part B) 2-4-6-8-10-12-14-16-18-20 burpees.

We both finished in 14mins 27secs

We then worked on some hanging leg raises for 3 sets of 10; some scapular retraction to help our shoulder stability; and capped it off with a jumping jack contest. I completed 100 but somehow Noah got to 257? 🤷🏻‍♂️

Felt good to get this one in, felt even better to have Noah join me completely by his own desire.

Happy Monday!

Motivation can be a fleeting element in your fitness program but, one that is required to keep you on track and get you to the results you want.

So, how do we keep it at a peak level? Here are a few tips -

First - Define what Fitness means for YOU.

What is it that YOU want or need to change?

Do you want to; lose weight; gain muscle; be able to touch your toes, be able to see your toes? Maybe you just want to feel good about doing something everyday, move around without feeling that nagging pain, lower your blood sugar, or increase efficiency in your squat pattern.

Whatever your purpose - define it, really get down to the nuts and bolts and be honest with yourself. Nobody knows better than the person living in YOUR body what YOU need.

Second - Measure your progress.

Continued monitoring of metrics provides the feedback you need and therefore the intrinsic motivation to keep you going. If the metrics aren’t changing in your favor, it’s also time to re-assess what you are doing and how it should change. In turn, this will help solidify your commitment.

Third - Reward yourself.

This journey can be long, and filled with ups and downs. Take time out (notice I said time out, NOT time off 😉) to celebrate what you have accomplished. You work hard for the victories, don’t forget to give them the attention they deserve.
