The Hampton Classic 2023 is a wrap!!
This year was one for the books- in a good way! All of the horses and riders were amazing- bringing home ribbons and, more importantly, big smiles. The entire week was filled with awesome riding, lots of cheering, wonderful teamwork and an abundance of champagne 🍾
*Highlights*
Coming Home and Jo placed 6th in the low adult eq fences and 4th in a big competitive group of low adult hunters. Most noteworthy- NO ADDING!
Doonaree Lad and Sonja made their classic debut with solid rounds in the low adult hunters and a 9th place finish in the eq on Local Day. It was magical to see this pair fulfill this goal of showing at the classic together.
Chopin and Liz rocked the Local non-pro division, taking home a 7th place ribbon. This is a HUGE win for baby Frank and a testament to Liz’s hard work and patience. What a difference a year makes!
Castile and Bridget WON a class in the local non-pro division to capture the reserve championship prize on Local Day. So happy that Bridget got her first Hampton Classic tricolor on our favorite 🍪!
Gracious and Colleen stepped into their third show together and brought home a 5th and a 7th in a huge low adult hunter division. We are all so thrilled with Grace after her “maternity leave” and Colleen’s love and patience is to thank for the success!
Carry Me Home and Jo nailed their low adult hunter trips (aside from a rogue flying napkin!) and put in their best trips yet together. Memphis earned himself lots of treats for playing ammy ⭐️ after finishing 9th place in a hard derby class with Kalyn on local day
Castile and Cam earned not one but two second place ribbons. This pair came back together as if they didn’t miss a beat and this might be Cam’s best equitation ride ever 😘
As always, teamwork makes the dream work. Big thank you to Alex and Cameron for waking up before the ☀️ to get all the ponies perfect. Thank you to Sadan who works tirelessly to make them beautiful and gets it all done behind the scenes. Thankful for our beautiful new farm- all our grass field practice paid off!
This was my favorite Hampton Classic ever ❤️ Dare I say it… I’m almost excited for next year!
