It was a challenging day for everyone hunting today, but we ended up with a good turn out and had a lot of fun doing it!

We want to give a shoutout to Marty Stratton for the BBQ. It was killer as always!

Our winners for today’s event
1st place winning $500- Judd Stratton and Trevor Tate
15 gray squirrels and 1 fox squirrel with a total of 44pts

2nd place winning $200- Chris Anglin and Chris Phillips
13 gray squirrels and 2 fox squirrels with a total of 39pts

3rd place winning $100- Jeremiah and Julie Glaze
10 gray squirrels and 2 fox squirrels with a total of 37pts

Our doors will open at 4:00 to begin weigh-in and scoring. Each team must be in line by at least 6:00.
Scoring:
Gray Squirrels: 2pt
Fox Squirrels: 3pt (remember we are limiting 2 per team this year)
Headshots: +1pt
In event of tie, all harvest will be weighed for tie breaker.

We will have BBQ plates for sale so anyone is welcome to come by, even if you are not participating in the event to enjoy some good food! Thank you Marty Stratton

Please remember to abide by all hunting laws today. Any evidence of unsportsman like conduct, harvest taken before today, or by someone other than your 2 man team will result in automatic disqualification.

We will have a decent 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place payout for todays event.

Today is the last day to sign up for our 2025 squirrel hunt!
Please send all participation fees through Venmo by midnight tonight. If you have not got cash payments in, contact Judd Stratton at (706) 621-9785 and arrangements can be made.

Hunt will start at legal light tomorrow morning. There is no need to check in beforehand just be in line for weigh in by 6:00 at Comer Fairgrounds (1254 Main Street Comer, GA 30629). We will update everyone tomorrow morning on payouts for the event.

Marty Stratton will be selling BBQ plates and they are always a huge hit!

It’s the last week to sign up for the 2025 NEGA Squirrel Hunt.
All registration fees through Venmo will be due Friday the 21st by midnight (please put both team memebers name in description). If you’re paying by cash please contact Judd Stratton to get it turned in by the 19th.

2025 NEGA Squirrel Hunt weigh in will be held at Comer Fairgrounds (1254 Main Street Comer, GA 30629) on Feb 22nd. You must be present for weigh in by at least 6:00.

Reminders:
All payments through Venmo must be paid by Feb. 21st at midnight, labeled with both partners names.
If you are paying with cash, we ask that you reach out to Judd Stratton to set up a time to meet. We would like all cash payments to be turned in by Feb. 19th.

2025 NEGA Squirrel Hunt will be held on February 22nd.
$50 per team (2 man team) will be due by midnight Feb. 21st, cash and Venmo (linked below) will be accepted. If paying by Venmo, please label with both team members name, even if paying separately.
Competition starts at legal shooting light on Feb. 22nd and you must be present at weigh in by 6:00.
Hunt whatever land is available to you.

Please adhere to all laws, be respectful and ethical. Any harvest taken before the 22nd or by someone other than your 2 man team will result in an automatic disqualification.

Scoring:
Grey Squirrels: 2pts
Fox Squirrels: 3pts (limit 2 per team, automatically disqualified if more than 2 are brought to weigh in)
Headshots: additional 1pt
In the event of a tie, all harvest will be weighed as a tie breaker.
Pay out will be announced day of.

You are welcome to hunt with dogs the day of, but they will not be permitted out of the vehicle at weigh in.

There will be BBQ plates and refreshments for sale at weigh in location.

Today is the last day to sign up for our squirrel hunt (sign up fee due by midnight)! We’ve had over 20 teams sign up and several great sponsors donate so we are looking at good pay outs for our top 3 teams.
