Lowndes County Recreation is calling all churches and community organizations! Get your teams together for our Adult Co-Ed Slowpitch Softball league!

This is the perfect chance to build community, have fun, and potentially even hoist that championship trophy!

We are SUPER EXCITED to welcome our 12U Baseball & Softball players, coaches, and families to BankFirst Yards at the Lowndes County Sportsplex for the 2026 Dizzy Dean State Championship! 🏆⚾🥎

The best 12U teams in the state are heading our way this weekend, June 11th–14th! To help you plan your trip to the complex, here is your official visitor cheat sheet:

Dates: June 11th–14th

Gates Open: 120 minutes prior to the first game of each day.

Opening Ceremony: Join us 15 minutes prior to the first game on Thursday for a special Welcome, Prayer, the National Anthem, and the Honorary First Pitch!

Admission: $10 daily per person (Children 3 & under are FREE). CASH ONLY!

Brackets: Updated live at the North Side Concession Stand.

First Aid: Located between Fields 7 & 8 on the North Side.

Awards: A brief award ceremony will be held on Field 7 immediately following the Championship Games to present Champion, Runner-Up, and Sportsmanship Awards!

Parking & Rules: Courtesy drivers will be rolling through the lots to assist fans. RVs and Team Vans must park in the gravel overflow lot.

A friendly reminder that scooters, bikes, electric/motorized vehicles, and pets are NOT permitted inside the park. The sportsplex is a completely to***co, drug, and alcohol-free facility.

While you're not on the turf, make sure to check out everything Lowndes County has to offer, from our incredible local dining downtown to a relaxing stroll along the Tombigbee Riverwalk!

Pre-registration for the Tuesday age group tryouts close tonight at 5pm.

All tryouts at the Roger Short Soccer Complex. Check-in at the southside concession stand.

U9-U12 will be 5.30 with check=in starting at 5pm.
U13 and older will be at 7 pm with check-in starting at 6.30
MAKE-UP Session all age groups Thursday 6pm

Walk-ups welcome pre-registration strongly encouraged.

What a great event on Mother's Day Weekend! LCR partnered Pilates with Cait to offer "Mommy and Me Pilates in the Park" at the RSSC on Saturday. Look for more special "Pilates in the Park" from LCR and Pilates with Cait.
