❤️ OUR FIRST HEART OF A LION AWARD WINNER! ❤️
This morning on the Saturday Morning ROAR, we were proud to recognize Chris Smith, Assistant Football Coach at St. Anne-Pacelli Catholic School, as the FIRST recipient of our Heart of a Lion Award! 🏆
Coach Smith was nominated by someone who has witnessed the impact he makes far beyond Friday night football.
Here’s what they shared:
“Chris Smith is the definition of someone who has the Heart of a Lion. As a high school football coach, Chris gives far more than his time and energy to the program—he gives his heart.
He makes every player feel loved, valued, and important. He understands that coaching is about so much more than wins and losses. He builds relationships, encourages his players, believes in them, and makes sure they know they matter—not just as athletes, but as young men.
Chris leads by example. He shows his players what commitment, sacrifice, loyalty, humility, and love look like.
Chris Smith doesn’t just coach football… he invests in people. He gives his time when no one is watching, serves when there is no recognition, and loves his players like they are his own.
That is the Heart of a Lion.”
