📣 OVR BOARD OF DIRECTORS VACANCY

The Ohio Valley Region is now accepting applications from OVR members interested in serving on the OVR Board of Directors and completing the remainder of a vacant term.

📅 Application Period: August 24 – September 15, 2026

Interested candidates should submit:
• A current résumé
• A cover letter outlining their interest in serving and the experience they would bring to the Board

📧 Submit materials to [email protected] by September 15 at 11:59 p.m.

Following the application period, the Nominations and Elections Committee will review submissions and certify a slate of qualified candidates for consideration by the Board.

This is an opportunity to have a voice in the governance, growth, and future of volleyball throughout the Ohio Valley Region.

🏨 Hotel room blocks for the 2026-2027 season are now officially open through our housing partner, EventConnect! 🎉

EventConnect powers our easy-to-use accommodations portal, where teams can quickly hold and reserve rooms with their lodging partner of choice. 🛏️ Teams will receive access to the housing portal within 1-2 business days of registering in the AES system. 📧

⚠️ Please note that starting this season, all OVR events at the Greater Columbus Convention Center will follow a strict stay-to-play policy. Teams located more than 75 miles from the Greater Columbus Convention Center must book through EventConnect and fulfill a minimum of six hotel room reservations per day of competition. 🏨 Acceptance into the event is contingent upon meeting all registration requirements, including payment, roster submission, and the required hotel room nights through EventConnect. ✅ Teams that do not meet these requirements by the registration deadline will not be accepted until all requirements are fulfilled.

🏆 U15 Girls – National Gold Champions (6-2)
🏆 U19 Girls – National Gold Champions (5-3)
🥈 U17 Boys – International Gold Runner-Up (7-1)
🏅 U17 Girls – 4th Place, International Gold (6-3)
🏅 U15 Boys – 5th Place, National Gold (1-6)
🏅 U13 Girls – 4th Place, National Gold (2-6)
🏅 U19 Boys – 3rd Place, National Gold (3-5)
2 National Gold Championships.
1 International Gold Runner-Up.

Our OVR U15 Girls put on a dominant performance in the U15 National Gold Championship Match, sweeping Badger Region 25-18, 25-21, 25-22 to bring home the title!

Our OVR U17 Boys left everything they had on the court in the International Gold Championship Match but came up just short against Badger Region.

🔥 7-1 tournament record — the best record in the U17 Boys division!
This group competed with heart, toughness, and determination from the very first serve to the final point. Their commitment to each other and the way they represented OVR all week long is something to be incredibly proud of.

So close until the very end. 💙💛
Our OVR U17 Girls battled with everything they had in the International Gold 3rd Place Match, but came up just short against Badger Region in three incredibly close sets (25-21, 25-22, 25-23).
This team showed grit, resilience, and heart all week long, finishing 4th overall in the International Gold Bracket (out of 21 teams) with an outstanding 6-3 tournament record.
What a run. So proud of this group and the way they represented OVR at the USA Volleyball All-Star Championships! 👏🏐
