Hojōjutsu Seminar taught by Zane Nickell
Saturday February 11th. 2023
Carver Community Center 165 W. 4th St. Chillicothe
There is parking in the front and to the side of the building. Also, parking is in the rear but limited.
Time: 10 am – 2 pm Doors open at 9:30 am
Cost: $45 per person Life Members $40
Due to the nature of this class, only 18 years and older are permitted to attend the training.
Zane is a Law Enforcement Officer in SW Ohio for over 30 years where he instructs at the academy as a defensive tactics instructor, as well as teaching subject control techniques. Zane is a 6th degree black belt in Karate and Ju-Jitsu with the A.K.J.U. Under Soke, Don Madden, Zane was recommended for his Doctoral degree for Tactical Trainers. Zane along with Soke, Heather Madden participated in the Goodwill Games ceremony as well as winning the Gold for Duo Ju-Jitsu. Zane has conducted training throughout the United States, Asia and Europe. He is the founder and head instructor of ZNN Tactical Training Team and founded the American Hojojutsu Research Society
You will need to bring:
1. Three – 12 ft. long sections of rope. The rope should be soft, flexible, and thin- about the size of a #2
pencil. Thicker rope is harder to work with. At minimum, 550 cord is acceptable as a training only
material.
2. Bring water, a pen and a notebook if you want to take notes.
Zane will go over:
Hojojutsu safety training rules - Body mechanics - Hojojutsu history - Rope selection and maintenance
Individual and team take down tactics - Use of pressure points related to restraining tactics
Application of fast rope techniques - How to make handcuffs out of rope
