School Closure-Tomorrow Sept 2. We have been advised by AEP that due to construction, the school will have multiple power outages of varying durations tomorrow, Sept 2. For the student's and staff's safety we have made the decision to close tomorrow.

Congrats to Michael Ramsey who finished 7th today at the State Track & Field meet at Ohio State. We are super proud of Michael who wrapped up post season awards of 1st team of MOCAL and MOCAL high jump champion. 1st team All Central District, 3rd place finish in the Region, 1st team All Ohio and most impressive 1st team Academic All Ohio. Michael also holds GCA's high jump record at 6'6". It has truly been an honor to be part of this journey with you. Thanks for the ride. We love u!!!

Congratulations to Michael Ramsey who became the first male athlete at GCA to qualify for the state championship meet tonight. He is also the first field event athlete to qualify. This special day brought a new personal best and school record jump of 6'6". Mike would love to have fans to root him on at the state meet next Friday at Jesse Owens stadium on The Ohio State University campus. He will be jumping at 1:00 pm. Great job and Congrats Mike!! Now, bring home GCA's first state championship!!

With Gana Lopez at State Track & Field Championship. She is 7th in the state in both 100m and 200m. A State Finalist and First Team All Ohio as a freshman. What a sweet way to finish the season. God has been faithful. So proud of her! Way to go Gana!

Her 100m time was 12.73 and her 200m time was 26.15. She had great runs. She has added another piece to the history of GCA: first ever State Finalist and All American in Track & Field. What an honor it is for Mr. Reeves and I to be her coaches.

Big day for the Haugen's yesterday as it was graduation day for Caleb as class valedictorian. Meanwhile at the track Jared was running his way to being a regional qualifier in the 110 and 300 hurdles. Proud parents found themselves in joyous tears gleaning in their children's accomplishments. Great day Haugen's. We celebrate with you! Also congrats to Jared Downing and the rest of our GCA class of 2014. Welcome to your next phase. Greatness is in you!
