Just wanted to thank everyone that showed up today to celebrate Master Yang.
It was wonderful seeing everyone.
I didn’t take any pictures from today but there was quite a variety of people there. I think Brian & Maria Baker win the “prize” for coming the longest distance (FL).
Our guest of honor was his daughter Amanda - Thank you so much for coming. I think you made many friends for life.
Many that didn’t make it were missed but almost guarantee that someone looked at a picture of you today( there were thousands of pictures there).

On Sunday, September 15, 2024 a reunion to celebrate Grand Master Choon Mo Yang’s exceptional life as a Tae Kwon Do Master will be held at Hoover Dam from 12:00-2:00 pm.

We invite past students, friends, family and anyone interested in his life to join us to celebrate the positive impacts Master Yang had on each of us.
The gathering will be casual - located down below the dam off Sunbury Rd (old training area). No uniforms, ranks or titles just great memories and reuniting with old & new friends.

Bring a dish and/or drink (no alcohol) to share with others. Bring lawn chair(s) and TKD pictures if you like.

Spread the word …. the greater number of people who can make it, the prouder Master Yang would be. Showing him the respect to gather and share our great common experiences and ideals he taught would be a great honor. There will be the opportunity for you to do a traditional ancestral bow. This time your bow will be in honor of the man who normally led us in this ceremony.
We hope to see you all there.

Family and friends,

My father's Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, July 25th @ Newcomer Funeral Home
3047 E Dublin-Granville Rd, Columbus, Ohio 43231. The hours will be 3pm-6pm.

Family dinner following service. More details on this once I secure a place.

For our TKD family in lieu of attending the family dinner, please watch for news from your senior members for a ceremony in honor of dad to be held at Hoover Dam.

Please know that I am working on finalizing his obituary. I will share the link once I get it posted on the website. Also, if you would like to share with me 1 photo, please dm it to me so that I can try to include it in the slideshow.

Dear Family and Friends,

I’m writing with heavy hearts to let you know that my father, Grandmaster Choon Mo Yang, suffered a severe stroke last Saturday and after careful consideration and medical consultation, it has been determined that he is irrecoverable and his condition is irreversible. We have made the difficult decision that we will need to remove him from life support. Hardest decision I've ever had to make.

Once we have finalized the details, I will share information regarding the funeral arrangements so that all family/friends/students may pay their respects. Thank you all for your love and support.
