"Dance has a way of always bringing you back." 🩰💃 ~ Unknown
A little over a year ago, I took what was supposed to be a short break from teaching most anything. Then January 1 came along and I discovered that just because the calendar and the seasons change doesn't mean you are ready to. With each passing month, my savasana became longer and my rest even deeper. With each person who it felt like was trying to pressure me into going backwards, I practiced ahimsa. On those days when I felt guilty that my yoga practice and who I am to others continued to look different, I practiced even more ahimsa! 🧘♀️
When I first got started in the industry almost 3 decades ago 😱, all I wanted was to be booked every weekend of the season. Eventually, I made it there, although many seasons were cut short because my "day job" dictated what my life SHOULD be. Again, when I got started in the fitness/yoga industry, I was told over and over that my life had to be only what others needed. 😓

You know what I discovered during my long yogic sleep this past year? 🤔 1. I don't really enjoy teaching on a regular basis and the fact that I don't has nothing to do with my worth, 2. I miss leading a team with a shared passion and purpose, 3. The more I listened 👂, dance was calling me back. 🥰
So with much intention for the new year, I have commited myself fully to season (more exciting news on that soon 😁), which doesn't leave much time for teaching through May and I am okay with that! 👌 Be sure to stay connected here and on my website for future pop up classes and workshops on Insight Timer along with additional online and in person offerings! 👀
Until then, don't be afraid to practice the pause. You never know what you might discover! 💕
With love,
Angie
