It is with sincere disappointment that we announce the cancellation of this year's Santa Claus Classic.
This was not an easy decision, and we want to be transparent with our athletes about the circumstances that led us here.

Over the past several months, we have worked to coordinate with the event venue on race logistics, particularly a start time that would provide the safe, enjoyable, and high-quality race experience our athletes have come to expect. Unfortunately, we have been unable to reach an agreement on a start time that continues to meet those expectations.
​
Additionally, the race venue has made the decision to pursue its own direction with racing events. While we respect their decision, the introduction of additional races and the resulting confusion between their events and ours have created challenges in communicating a clear race identity to athletes. This confusion has contributed to registration numbers that are significantly lower than anticipated.
​
As race directors, we take pride in the events we produce. Our goal has always been to provide well-organized, athlete-focused races that are worth your time, training, and investment. Rather than move forward with an event that may not meet those standards, we have made the difficult decision to cancel.
​
We want to emphasize that this decision was not made lightly. We understand the time and effort that goes into preparing for a race, and we sincerely apologize for the disappointment and inconvenience this may cause.

We will issue you a full refund over the next week.
We are incredibly grateful for the athletes who continue to support our events year after year. Your enthusiasm, loyalty, and love of racing are what make our race community so special.

While we are disappointed that the Santa Claus Classic will no longer take place, we remain committed to bringing you outstanding race experiences through TriColumbusGA. We look forward to seeing you at the starting line of another event soon.
