A few weekends ago, a local family experienced every parent’s worst nightmare. Little Jacob from the Lemonade Bros had a non-fatal drowning accident.

By the grace of God, Jacob is okay. He’s home. And yep… already back to making lemonade. 🍋

But his family decided to turn something terrifying into something that could help protect other children in our community. That’s how Jacob’s Life Jacket Project was born. 🦺

Their goal is simple:
Get US Coast Guard-approved youth life jackets into the hands of local families who need them this summer. Pools, lakes, splash pads, backyard swimming… every child deserves an extra layer of safety.

And we are honored to be an official drop-off location at Advantage Heating & Air Conditioning.

Here’s how our All-Star community can help:

Hello EKR fans.. It's been a minute since we last talked.

So what's happening here at EKR headquarters? Well, we got a lot closer to hitting the track, but, our Knoke luck has struck again. Before we get into that, let's talk about the good!

Ben Ritchie Racing (Ben Ritchie) has come back on board as a sponsor for 2026!

Rob and Jo's Body Shop got our tail tank shined up with a slick coat of paint.

Lucky 7 Technologies took care of us on getting a couple sets of shocks.

Ultra Shield Race Products, LLC got Elijah fitted for a seat while at PRI and the finished product is as nice as they come.

To finish off the seat, a trip to Sharp Advantage Safety Products, LLC was in order to get a custom seat insert made.

A couple weeks ago we finally fired the car off and man it sounded great.

So now for current news...On Thursday we ventured south to Engler Machine and Tool to get the car on the dyno and let Tim work his magic. Tim, Donnie Gentry and Sam Scott went over the car front to back to make sure everything looked good and in place. After a couple of pulls, Tim wasn't pleased with how the engine was performing. Once again Tim and the team went to work trying to find a culprit. After checking things over they fired the car back up but it was evident there was something internally wrong. At that point our dyno day was done and we loaded up to make the long drive home.

Once home, Scott and Zach Roell came over to help pull the engine. Once pulled, we quickly found the issue and unfortunately this is going to require taking the engine to an engine builder for significant work.

Depending on what the engine builder says this could bring our season to an end before things get started. But, until that time comes we are going to press on as hard as we can. While the engine is out we will take the car to P3 Graphix LLC for decals and we are excited to see the outcome.

As we find out more in the coming weeks we will let you know how we are going to proceed. Until that time, if anyone has an open seat and needs a driver, give Elijah Knoke Racing a shout! He is itching to get back behind the wheel.

Hey EKR fans! We have a unique opportunity to support our family owned team. More to come on current state of affairs at headquarters - be on the look out for an update - but here is your chance to support a young local talent. Elijah is 17 years old. He is an honor roll student and has a full time summer internship lined up with a reputable company in his area of career interest. In June, he’ll be attending a three day “TechMester” camp at Vincennes University for machining. He has big plans off the track and we’re super proud.

For $100, we are selling 2x4 decals to line the engine hood. (See example photo)

This is for individuals, not businesses. You can shout out your own name or a “in memory of” kind of thing. Anything goes as long as it’s media appropriate when representing “EKR”.

Example: Knoke Family, In Memory of…., “Give ‘em Hell”…. “You Got This”….

The car goes for decal wrap next week, so get your order in now. We can accept Venmo or PayPal.

Registration is open for our annual Hook a Kid on Fishing event! On June 5th from 9 am to 2 pm, we'll be taking a group of Bartholomew County kids from 9 to 13-years-old fishing with our officers. No fishing experience is necessary. Through generous donations, fishing equipment and lunch will be provided.

Registration is free and will be open until May 22nd at 5 pm. After registration closes, the group will be selected by lottery draw.
