It is not every day you get to meet a Mississippi girl that got to live out her dreams on the big stages of Broadway, and we can't wait to welcome the fabulous Desiree Parkman back to the studio!
Join us for a fun day of dancing with this icon!

Desiree Parkman is a professional dancer, educator, choreographer, and creative arts facilitator with a career spanning Broadway, concert dance, and arts education. A former Radio City Rockette and Broadway performer, Desiree has performed alongside and worked with some of the most respected artists in American theater and dance.

Her teaching style combines technique, musicality, performance, and joy, creating an environment where dancers are encouraged to move with confidence, individuality, and intention. Through her workshops, Desiree brings decades of professional experience into the classroom while making dance accessible, expressive, and empowering for every body.

❄️🎄CONGRATULATIONS!!🐁🎁

We have been blown away by the excitement for our second Nutcracker production, and we are so inspired by this cast! We had an enormous turn-out this season (🩰), with dancers auditioning from all around the Golden Triangle, as well as from Vernon, Tupelo, Amory, Ocean Springs and more!

With over 130 potential cast members, you can understand what a difficult job we had making space to showcase so much talent. In remedy, we have revamped our show and made old parts new and new parts wild. Prepare yourselves, dancers!

Last year's choreography will grow to fit our new vision, and we have added in a whole new set of whimsical characters, backdrops and costume designs.

To fit all of these costumes and characters on stage, we will be performing this year's production of The Nutcracker on the MUW Campus at Whitfield Hall in the Rent Auditorium the weekend of December 12th and 13th. Mark your calendars!

Stay tuned for scheduling information, ticket information and for our 2026 Nutcracker Information Packet, which hopefully will answer many of your questions.

Also, if your dancer has been offered multiple parts in our performance, don't panic. 💸 This season, we have capped our costume fee. This means one costume will cost you the same as 5 costumes. (Remember, these are rentals, so you still can't take them home. 🙃)

We can't wait to bring these characters to life for our community this season. We love seeing these dancers deepen their love for ballet, and we are so excited to welcome so many families into our production!
