If you're one of the lucky ones with clear skies this week, look up!

The Perseid meteor shower peaks the night of August 12 into the 13th, and this year it lines up with a new moon, so the sky will be about as dark as it gets. 🌌 Pull up a chair, grab a blanket for the kids, and see how many you can count together. ✨

Tips for the best viewing experience:
- Go outside between 10 p.m. and dawn. Pre-dawn hours are best.
- Travel away from city lights to a dark location.
- Give your eyes 20 to 30 minutes to adjust to the dark. Try to avoid looking at your phone screen as much as possible!
- Look up comfortably; you do not need to locate Perseus because meteors appear across the entire sky.

There's nothing quite like spending the Fourth of July at the campground.
