At Zen Wellness Company, we’re continuing our journey through the 8 Limbs of Yoga with this month’s Yama of the Month: Brahmacharya — moderation.
Brahmacharya is about balance.
Not all or nothing.
Not burnout or boredom.
But sustainable energy.
Traditionally translated as “right use of energy,” Brahmacharya invites us to notice where we’re overextending… and where we’re holding back.
In your practice, it might look like:
• Choosing control over momentum
• Prioritizing form over speed
• Leaving a little in the tank
• Honoring rest as part of the work
Off the mat, it’s setting boundaries. Protecting your time. Being mindful of what (and who) you give your energy to.
When we practice moderation, we create consistency. And consistency builds strength — physically, mentally, and emotionally.
This month, move with intention. Spend your energy wisely. And remember: balance is powerful. ✨
