Cyclocross practice starts this week! We will cover two weeks of instruction this coming Wednesday:

- Barriers & Introduction to Cyclocross
- Cornering, Starts, Climbing and Off-Cambers

See you there!

Dates: Wednesdays, starting at 6pm until dark.

Location: Scioto Audubon Park, near the bocce courts (the first parking lot my the park entrance)

It’s finally official. The cyclocross practice and TT is now on! We have moved to a new venue in central Columbus, the Scioto Audubon Metro Park. We will be practicing every Wednesday until the end of October. Hope to see you there!

Paradise Garage Racing Stores Part Six:

OVCX Harbin Park CX was a fun race. I had lower expectations for my first race of the season and first time on the bike since crashing at the last Orbital crit. Conditions were just wet enough to make you pay attention but not so bad to cause mechanical issues or dismounts. We started with all the masters so our field was maybe 20-25 total. I got the hole shot and decided to try to keep them all behind me. Stayed in front until the sand pit, at which point I picked a rut that shot me straight into the tape so I had to dismount and run the second half. One guy passed me and I decided to just ride my own pace and see what happens. I was back on his wheel by the second climb and we were already starting to pass some of the juniors who started 2 min ahead and some of the 4s were in sight. Passed him at the start finish going into lap 2 and never saw him again. From there I just tried to hold a hard pace and pick off as many non-masters as I could.

The relay race was fun too. Nate and Doug were the first two legs and I was third. I went all in to close the gap and was almost on my opponents wheel by the time we were about to reach the sand pits. Then my legs just gave out. Rob must have done a ripping lap and passed QCW's final rider, but there was a crazy fast kid on another team who leapfrogged both Rob and QCW to take the win.

Race day at delivered some perfect cyclocross weather as well as great racing! Thank you to all that put on a great an event! The team had a great showing, pulled off some results, and had a blast along the way. See you at the next one!

Cyclocross is here! The squad came out and represented at both Big Run race and Brookside. won his field at Big run with a commanding lead. Nate finished well in his field, showing off some of his tech skills he’s being working on at cyclocross practice. and made an early break of 3 and both finished on the podium in a fast and hot race.
At Brookside Dave won his field and also finished in the podium in his field! Let’s go! Cyclocross is here!
