In the last two years, GVS has helped nearly 20 property owners restore over 4,000 square feet of historic brick sidewalks through our grant program. And great news, The Columbus Foundation has awarded new funding so this preservation work can continue!

We’re excited to be in the process of joining the volunteer roster for Schiller Park, bringing our frisbee tradition into the community in a bigger way.

-Our goal is simple:

-Create a welcoming space for neighbors to connect and play

-Keep the game fun, low-cost, and open to everyone

-Care for our park and community together

We’ll share more once onboarding is complete and details are finalized - but for now, bring your bare feet, your best throw, and your laughter to Schiller Park evenings.

From Roots to Rhythm — the Story of Barefoot Frisbee 🌿🌀

In 2021, a few people met in Schiller Park to toss a Frisbee. No teams. No cleats. Just bare feet and intention.
What started as a simple act of play has grown into something deeper: a ritual, a refuge, a rhythm.

By 2025, we rebranded as Barefoot Frisbee and changed locations—not just to reflect what we do, but how we live. Grounded. Present. Light on our feet. Deep in community.

This poster celebrates our journey—from spontaneous throws to a living expression of joy, resistance, and rest in motion.

We play every Tuesday at 6:30 PM in Schiller Park, at the heart of German Village, Ohio.
We’re not a team. We’re a movement.
And there’s always space in the circle.
