Meet your instructor!!

Simo Ervin began training in May, 1991 and is a Certified Senior Instructor. She has been teaching and competing for over 25 years. Simo Ervin has competed locally, nationally, and internationally winning numerous grand champion (forms, weapons & sparring) awards. In 1998, she was the only female member of the United States Shuai-Chiao Team (Chinese wrestling) which competed at The Mayor’s Cup in Paris, France, winning the silver medal in my weight division. In 2015, she was also a member of the United States Shuai-Chiao Team placing 6th in Wenzhou, China.

Welcome to the new year! We hope your 2024 has been good so far. To start the new year off, we will be hosting a FREE women's self defense workshop! We will be doing basic punches, kicks, and teaching you real world self-defense techniques! This is a great opportunity to start the new year off right with a great workout and to have new self-defense techniques under your belt! We hope to see you there!

Did you know... Shuai Jiao (Chinese Wrestling) is the most ancient of all Chinese martial arts with a history of over 4,000 years. Its first recorded use, in a military engagement, was when the Yellow Emperor of China fought against the rebel Chih Yiu and his army, 2,697BC. They used horned helmets and gored their opponents while using a primitive form of grappling.
