I can’t turn it off. My brain, the assessments, any of it.
I recognize that I’m blessed to have my passion come so easily, to me, but occasionally, I wish I could turn it off
It gets frustrating at times, it doesn’t matter where I am or what I’m doing, if I can see you, in any way
•squatting
•bending over
•walking
•standing
•twisting
… the list goes on, I do an automatic baseline assessment. I see it and my brain can find a list of potential things going on in the body I’m seeing and know how to fix them, if that’s the case
It’s never a judgement and it’s not always something that’s incorrect, when I see someone with a wonderful form or a great stride, I take notice of that, as well
I’m, of course, not perfect. I have a lot of different issues that prevent me from moving the optimal way and I’m always striving to learn more and find the best ways to help people
And it’s no one’s fault, as toddlers, our form and movements are incredibly easy and as close to perfect as you can get. As we get older, we’re forced to be still more and more and eventually our bodies need re-educated on how to properly move
If you have a form issue, pain when you move, or a general need for exercise therapy, leave a comment or let me know and we can get you on the track to moving better, for you! 🤗
