Thousands of polymer coated hard-cast bullets for the 38-55.

245 grains of fun!

While the 38-55 doesn't have the punch that the 45-70 has. It doesn't have the recoil or expense either.

Handloading the 38-55, in modern production rifles, can produce some very satisfying results. Especially for hunting at short-moderate distances.

Let us know if you need any of these in .377" or .379" diameter.

"Hello. I need a 385 grain cast bullet for a 11.7 x 51R Danish Rolling Block rifle, sized to .459" in a 20:1 alloy for black powder."

Yes. It is true that I had never even heard of that rifle before. I checked my list of moulds, knowing that I often buy unusual moulds and I might have something that would work.

In fact, I had an old - brand new Lyman mould for a 385grn 45-70 that might do the trick.

The result was a bullet that fit this customer's need and surprised both of us. 😊

I guess it never hurts to ask! 🀠

I just cast these very unusual bullets!

A customer asked if I could get him a bullet for his 45-125 Wi******er Express. So, I searched the Internet and found an original unused "Ideal" brand mould for this historical oddity.

The unique twist-rate of the barrel required a short, lightweight hand-cast bullet that would be sized to a diameter of .457".

These 292 - 300 grain bullets (depending upon the alloy used) will utilize a large black powder charge coming from the, supposedly, obsolete cartridge case.

These might not be what you would normally use in a BPCR or "buffalo" rifle. But my customer will be happy and satisfied to get his rare piece of history shooting again, using the correct bullet.

Once sized and lubed, I will be proud to know that I helped him keep his original 19th century single-shot shooting.

Although I don't expect to stock these on the shelf, I would be happy to make some for anyone who needs these hard-to-find treasures.

These should work quite well. Especially in a 357 Magnum lever-action rifle.

Since these are very hard, polymer coated, and gas-checked, they can be loaded pretty hot for higher velocities. The pe*******on in medium-sized game (such as deer) should be good at reasonable ranges.

Mixing Hard-Cast alloy and Linotype is how we were able to obtain the hardness of 18-20 BHN.

Virtually everyone who enjoys the 44 Special or 44 Magnum has probably shot a SWC bullet at one time or another. And the 44 SWC owes it's existence and popularity to the legendary Elmer Keith.

Many (more than I can remember) people have asked me for "The Keith Bullet." I did the research and learned all I could about Elmer Keith and his famous development that resulted in a form of ballistic revolutionary performance.

This educational pilgrimage has taught me that Mr. Keith's bullet was produced using the Lyman/Ideal 429421 mould. His unyielding specifications resulted in performance that was indeed revolutionary, for the time, and later resulted in the creation of the 44 Re*****on Magnum cartridge.

In order to satisfy the wishes of my customers, I have successfully acquired a brand-new/never used (old) Lyman mould that produces "The Keith Bullet" at 250 grains for the .44 Special/Magnum.

Because of the variety of requests, these bullets are being offered in various ways. Such as:
* As cast (unsized/unlubed)
* Cast and sized (unlubed/uncoated)
* Cast, sized, polymer coated
* Various hardness options

The picture shows the bullet "as cast."

Yup. I absolutely cannot stand Communists.

If you are a Communist, buy your bullets elsewhere. Because I don't want your business.

A batch of 40 caliber (.408" diameter) before being pan-lubed. These are made with 20:1 alloy and hand-cast from a Steve Brooks mould.

Loaded with black powder, they will be very good performers in a 40-65 Shiloh Sharps.

After receiving 100 of our 550grn FP BPCR bullets, hand-cast from a Steve Brooks mould, this customer shot some of them from his brand new Shiloh Sharps 45-110.

"Those bullets are amazing!!!

I just shot the rifle today for the first time. Love the bullets and can't wait to use it for hunting.

Do you happen to cast anything for 50-90 sharps?"

I absolutely love hearing from happy customers.
