💙 HOPE 41 GAME 💙
At Tonight’s game, Butler High School will honor the life, faith, courage, and legacy of Blake LaForce #41 as our football game becomes the 41 Hope Game.
Blake was a standout athlete, a dominant force on the football field, and a young man whose deep Christian faith defined the way he lived. At just 16 years old, Blake was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia after a shin injury refused to heal.
He faced his battle the same way he played football—with courage, strength, and determination. Blake never asked, “Why is this happening to me?” Instead, he understood that his journey could quietly make a difference through his faith.
Blake ultimately beat leukemia following a bone marrow transplant, but complications from an unexpected and devastating infection took his life in 2009, at the age of 18.
His legacy continues through the Blake LaForce #41 Memorial Fund, which supports Butler High School student-athletes and provides annual college scholarships to deserving young men and women who participate in athletics.
Tonight, we remember Blake.
We celebrate his life.
We honor his legacy.
And we stand together in hope.
After the game, join us on the track for One Lap for Hope. Together, we will walk in honor of everyone fighting the good fight and in remembrance of those who have lost their battle.
One team. One community. One lap. One hope.
