The Realm of Grim's Keep

The Realm of Grim's Keep We are the Official Belegarth Realm of Columbus, Ohio. The fighting is hard and fast and has, since 1979, refined into its own brand of martial art.

Belegarth Medieval Combat Society is a fun, safe, and inexpensive sport where participants wear medieval or fantasy-themed clothing and fight with foam-padded weapons. The rules are easy to learn, and after a few practices, you’ll be hooked! Like traditional sport teams, Belegarth groups have themes and symbols. Many groups choose to base themselves on medieval fantasy fiction or history such as L

ord of the Rings, Game of Thrones, or ancient Rome. Participants choose a name that represents them and can choose to portray a character or to simply just fight. Since the Belegarth ruleset is for combat and safety only, all role-play is optional. The amount of effort you put into your characterization is up to you! Belegarth provides a great environment for both serious role players and those who would rather just fight. With Belegarth Medieval Combat Society groups all over the world, there should be one near you. If there isn’t, you can start one, and we will do everything we can to help you and your new group succeed. 🚨 🚨 🚨OUTDOOR PRACTICE STARTS TODAY! 🚨 🚨 🚨

Our weekly outdoor practices are at Alum Creek Park North every Wednesday at 5:30pm from March until November.
We will fight until its gets dark! If you are new we will have plenty of gear for you to borrow! All you need are clothes you feel comfortable being active in and some water!
On days where it is raining we will be in the Amphitheater just north of the main field.
If the parking lot is full there is an overflow lot across the street called "Astronaut Grove".

We will have the basketball court reserved for every Friday from 6pm-8pm

Cost: $7 per person CASH at the door

***Please wear shoes that will not scuff or damage the basketball court.****
