As we expand our focus toward workforce development initiatives, we invite stakeholders to view Back 2 Blacktop. as more than a creative arts organization. Back 2 Blacktop is a nonprofit organization that generates revenue through professional painting services and strategically reinvests those proceeds into the communities we serve.
Our model blends entrepreneurship, skilled trade development, and community reinvestment. Through painting—a marketable, in-demand trade—we create pathways for economic empowerment, job readiness, and multigenerational skill-building. By equipping individuals with practical, transferable skills, we foster long-term self-sufficiency and expand access to workforce opportunities within the skilled trades sector.
In addition to delivering high-quality interior and exterior painting services for residential and commercial clients, we actively collaborate with local residents, businesses, and community partners. In many cases, we volunteer our services to support neighborhood revitalization efforts, while also maintaining the capacity to meet professional industry standards for contracted work.
There is no project too large or too small. Our team is fully equipped to address diverse painting needs while simultaneously advancing our mission of economic mobility, entrepreneurship, and community reinvestment.
With support from partners and funders, Back 2 Blacktop will continue to expand workforce training opportunities, strengthen community infrastructure, and reinvest earned revenue to create lasting impact.
