Memorial Day 2025 complete. We had 18 volunteers portraying American servicemen from 1898 to present day (Span-Am War, WWI, WWII, Korean War, Vietnam War, Desert Storm, OEF/OIF). It was an honor to work with all these men and watch them engaging with the public to tell the stories of Americans who answered their country’s call. This event would not have been possible without their help. From convoying three WWII trucks 52 miles round trip (at 25-30 mph), to setup, to tear down, it was truly a group effort!

Thank you also to the American Village for giving us this opportunity to honor our servicemen.

Thank you to the Kelly's Zeroes and friends that offered their time on this beautiful Saturday to get “dirty with Gertie” (and Betsy). We were able to get a lot of needed mx done, and I think everybody learned a lot, myself included. Your help is greatly appreciated!

480gr paper-patched projectile with a military load of ~85gr Ffg black powder. At 75 yards, it went in on one side and stopped in the rib cage of the other!
