Just drop beneath the surface off St. Eustatius and the wrecks here are a photographer’s dream. ⚓️📸The 327-foot Charles L. Brown (Charlie Brown) is one of the largest and most photogenic wrecks in the eastern Caribbean — massive structure, cable reels, corridors, and two decades of coral, sponges, and sea fans turning steel into a living reef. Schools of horse-eye jacks, a resident barracuda named Charlie, turtles, and that dramatic descent in clear blue water make every shot feel cinematic.Then there’s the Chien Tong, sitting upright like a turtle hotel at night, plus the historic Double and Triple Wrecks where 18th-century anchors, ballast piles, and artifacts now wear a thick coat of reef.Visibility is often excellent, the marine life is relaxed, and the mix of big modern wrecks with real colonial history gives you frames you simply don’t get everywhere else.Has anyone else dived Statia?
