As the team grew, and we began attracting higher-level swimmers, we hired more experienced, paid coaches. Although we had to discontinue the program for a time due to a lack of staffing and resources and the transition to sponsoring a USA program, we now have enough interest and staff to offer both a recreational and a more serious USA team. We are excited to offer this program again so that young

athletes showcase their swimming skills. Moving forward, we have several goals for BRAC. We want to grow the program by making membership more affordable. By doing so, the children of Adair County will have the opportunity to participate in one of the premier, life-long sports this country has to offer. As we make BRAC more attainable for those who are interested in swimming, we are also making a healthier and more fit Adair County. Additionally, character-driven, integrity-focused coaching and swimmer development, along with an emphasis on fun and sportsmanship are guiding principles for this program. Most importantly, through this swim team, we are promoting water safety within our community. Knowing how to swim, and swim well, can save lives.

Summer is around the corner, and that means that BRAC is back!! Registration starts next week! Stop by the HWC at LWU and get signed up! And a special shout out to former BRAC swimmer, now turned program lead assistant, LUKE RICH! He'll be on deck, coaching up our Bonitos this season!
Please spread the word! We won't turn anyone away because of financial constraints. Also, because of a generous, anonymous donation, we have already been able to lower the team fee from the $90 we had to charge last year to $75 this season.
