Attention prospective Giro di Coppi racers! The Artemis women’s tram@has graciously opened up their scouting ride of the Giro di Coppi course to our community on Sunday, June 7! This will be a one lap, SAG-supported MABRA women’s ride from 10am until completed to scout the 12mi course loop (rolling conversational pace/no drop). There will be a ride leader to go one extra lap, but no SAG second time around, paced a little faster at ~18-20mph.
Meet at the Barnesville School at 10am to roll at 10:30 (21830 Peach Tree Rd, Barnesville, MD 20838). The broader Artemis team will also be on the course for a pre-ride starting at 9:30.

Attention prospective Giro racers! The Artemis women’s team has graciously opened up their scouting ride of the Giro di Coppi course to our community on Saturday, June 6! It will be a one lap SAG supported MABRA women’s ride from 10 AM until completed to preview the race (rolling conversational pace/no drop). There will be a ride leader to go one extra lap, but no sag on the second time around, paced a little faster @~18-20mph.

Meet up will be at the Barnesville school @9:30am (21830 Peach Tree Road, Barnesville MD 20838). Artemis riders will be on the course for a team ride and join at 10 AM. Hope to see you there!

Join the MABRA Women this Sunday, May 3rd, for a casual, no-drop ride and recon of the course for the Carl Dolan Memorial Classic presented by DC Velo, one of the longest running circuit races in the area and the 3rd event in the 2026 MABRA Road Series! We will take an opportunity to ride a few laps of the course, which is a 2.1 mile loop with one wide corner. The course is non-technical but has an uphill finish. Curious about that local road race with that weird gravel section? Just looking to get dialed in for race day? NCVC Ladies and MABRA Women will be hosting a no-drop Poolesville training ride on April 25th, the weekend before the race. Open to all women/femme/trans/non-binary riders! Attention all road racing curious women, femme, trans, and non-binary cyclists in the MABRA region! The Lisa Mary Martin Memorial Greenbelt Park Training Race Series will kick off its 2026 season on Wednesday, April 29th! This training series is a great opportunity to get road race experience on a smooth, fast, non-technical circuit, while offering the flexibility to drop in and out of laps. To learn more about the series and road racing in general, join race organizers and for a virtual information session on April 15th at 7pm! Pete and Justine will talk through the format of the race, provide tips on road racing, and answer questions! WFTNB riders of all levels welcome! Register at the link in bio.

The All Women’s (WTFNB) Clinic @ HYCX is a GO!!! The event will be p/b , , and and like always…IT’S FREE!!!

Our clinic will be held on Saturday, 9/21 at the newly renamed Driskell Park in Hyattsville (formerly Magruder Park), 3911 Hamilton St, Hyattsville, MD 20781. All the details (time and such) will be coming up on Tuesday when registration for the clinic opens.

The event will focus on basic Cyclocross (CX) skills, but all are welcome to attend this WTFNB inclusive event. The goal is to give YOU enough confidence to give CX a try, and meet our amazing and supportive community!

During the clinic you can expect to work on basic skills like mounting and dismounting the bike for CX with experienced CX cyclists and coaches on hand to help you or answer questions. We will conduct drills like starts and turning tight corners, we will season the HYCX course features, and finally put it all together by taking a couple laps around the course.

We want you to come out and experience cyclocross with us! CX is fun, safe, and a lot of the time it is like a party on wheels! Don’t miss out on the fun!

HYCX organizers are offering tent spaces on race day and a waiver of same day registration for the event for all participants.

Congrats to MABRA Women & DC Devo Riders Lidia Cusack & Alyssa Sarkisov for making the 2024 UCI Road World Championship Team and representing the US in Zürich at the end of this month! 🇺🇸

The UCI Road and Para-Cycling Road World Championships will take place in Zurich, Switzerland on September 21-29.
