The Irmo Chapin Recreation District (ICRC) was formed in 1969 to serve community members living in the Lexington County portion of School District Five.

ICRC operates five parks in the district. The Irmo Chapin Recreation Commission operates five parks in the Irmo/Chapin community:

Meet the instructors bringing the energy to our Halloween Zumbathon!

Join us tonight at Seven Oaks Park from 7–9 PM for two hours of black light dance party fun while supporting ICRC Meals on Wheels. Proceeds help provide meals to seniors in our community. Plus, wear your best Halloween costume for a chance to win a prize!

Students at Lexington-Richland District Five’s Center for Advanced Technical Studies have been hard at work on this year’s new display for Holiday Lights on the River, and we’re excited to see their creation come together! It won’t be long before this elf pirate ship sets sail at Saluda Shoals Park.

⛳ Topgolf Teen Excursion: Election Day Adventure!

Teens ages 13–17 are invited to join us on Tuesday, November 3, for a trip to Topgolf in Greenville! This is a great opportunity for fun day out with friends and a laid-back golfing experince. Teens will get two hours of Topgolf, plus lunch, transportation, and ICRC staff supervision included!

Trip Details:
• Bus leaves Seven Oaks Park at 7:30 a.m. and Crooked Creek Park at 8:15 a.m.
• Bus returns to Crooked Creek Park at 5:00 p.m. and Seven Oaks Park at 5:45 p.m.
• Wear closed-toe shoes and comfortable athletic clothing. Bring a water bottle and money for extra food or snacks.

Cost is $62 per person. Space is limited, so register today!

Join us for a public information meeting to learn about the Lower Saluda Pedestrian Bridge Feasibility Study on Tuesday, October 27, from 5:00–7:00 p.m. at the Meech House at Mungo Park.

The meeting will provide an opportunity to learn about a potential pedestrian bridge crossing North Lake Drive near Lake Murray Dam in Lexington County. Attendees can review maps, drawings, and other project information and share their comments and input.

🏀 Bridge Development League Basketball: For Everyone. For Your School. For Fun.

The Bridge Development League is offering boys and girls basketball for the Winter 2026 season in partnership with Irmo Chapin Recreation Commission (ICRC) and Lexington-Richland School District Five.

The league gives young athletes the opportunity to develop fundamental skills, learn the game, and prepare for future competitive play in a positive, supportive environment.

Players can represent their zoned school team and mascot (Irmo, Chapin, or Dutch Fork) while wearing jerseys featuring district school colors and logos. The league is open to all children, regardless of school or district affiliation.

Registration is open October 8–November 4
• Boys Basketball | Ages 11–12 and 13–14
• Girls Basketball | Ages 9–11 and 12–14

Games and practices will take place at ICRC and School District Five facilities. The season costs $90, and scholarships are available to help ensure everyone has the opportunity to play.

👻The Creepy Crawly Pathway is THIS Friday, October 16 from 6:00-7:30 p.m. at Seven Oaks Park!

Follow the trail through the park, stopping at Halloween-themed stations for candy and surprises from our community partners. Keep an eye out for glowing spiders, fluttering bats, and costumed characters along the way!

✨Experience the magic of Holiday Lights on the River during the Sleigh Bell Trot & Stroll!

Race through the dazzling displays of Holiday Lights on the River during the four-mile timed Sleigh Bell Trot, or enjoy a leisurely stroll in the two-mile family-friendly Sleigh Bell Stroll through millions of twinkling lights and animated displays.

NEW this year! The Trot will be on a Sunday and we've added an additional night for the Stroll. Please make sure to select the correct night when purchasing your tickets.
