Since this page gets hundreds of views every month, this is just a friendly reminder that the Baltimore Fencing Center went out of business almost four years ago. I am not the owner of this page, so I cannot turn it off.

There are a number of good fencing clubs in Maryland, if you are a fencer or are interested in our sport. These include my own club -- Savage Fencing Club -- as well as On Target, Guanyi Fencing Academy, and Salle Palasz/TriWeapon Club.

Both Savage (www.savagefencingclub.com) and On Target (https://www.ontargetfencingclub.com/home-1) are on Facebook as well. And -- if are interested -- at least one of these clubs (ours) has a YouTube channel as well, where you can learn a bit more about our club:

Since so many people keep coming to this page (presumably as a result of searching for "Baltimore" and "Fencing," we are going to repeat the following:

Just a reminder to any of our followers here -- the Baltimore Fencing Center has been closed for several years. Our owner went to China and never returned.

There are several spinoff clubs created by former coaches at BFC, which you might wish to check out.

These include our own -- Savage Fencing Club, located in Savage, as well the On Target Fencing Club, in Elkridge. If you are interested in our sport, you might want to check out one or both of these clubs. We both have pages on Facebook that can be easily located.

Thank you.

Just in case you are wondering where BFC went -- some of us are in Savage Mill, fencing foil, epee, and sometimes saber. Drop by some evening or Saturday morning to check out the club!

For those who miss the now-closed Baltimore Fencing Center, and who may also miss our great sport as well, please note we have new beginner classes starting on Thursday, August 18. Classes will run from 6-7 p.m. for eight weeks. The club supplies all necessary fencing equipment.
Our goal is to make it convenient for family members -- notably parents and kids -- to be at the club at the same time. That being the case, adult (13+) and youth (under 13) classes will be run simultaneously, each with a different coach.
The entire course costs $140, and any additional family members (or one friend) who sign up at the same time as the first one will be charged half price.
For additional information, feel free to contact us at [email protected], or just stop by any weekday evening or Saturday morning.

If -- whether you fenced at BFC or not -- are a vet (40+) fencer, you might like to join us at the Savage Vets Open, which will take place September 10-11 at the Savage Fencing Club. You can find additional information and register here: https://askfred.net/Events/moreInfo.php?tournament_id=50144

If you are a fencer of any age, note that we offer free open bouting every Saturday morning, from approximately 10 a.m. until noon or later. Usually we fence just foil and epee, but this coming Saturday (i.e., tomorrow!), at least a couple of people will be dabbling in saber.

Finally, for those who may never have fenced before, and are interested in learning, we will be starting a new adult (13+) foil beginners class on Thursday, August 18. The one-hour class will run for eight weeks, and all fencing equipment is provided by the club. For additional information, check out our Website at www.savagefencingclub.com, or visit our page.

For fans of the now-closed Baltimore Fencing Center, if you or someone you know is looking for a place to learn how to fence, the Savage Fencing Club will be starting a new adult (13+) beginners class on Tuesday, July 12. The class will be held from 6-7 p.m., and will run for eight weeks. The club supplies all necessary fencing equipment.

For additional information, drop us an email at [email protected], or just drop by Savage Mill and chat with us in person!

Per a query we have received from another former member of this club, the Baltimore Fencing Center has now been closed for almost two years.

Any former BFC student or member who is looking for a club is welcome to come to the Savage Fencing Club, located at historic Savage Mill. If you decide to join us, your first month’s class or membership will be free.

Ping us on Facebook, or email us at [email protected] for additional information.

NOTE: Although former contractors at the Baltimore Fencing Center, the owners and staff at the Savage Fencing Club were not in any way owners of BFC, and as such we are not responsible for their debts. They owe some of us a lot of money as well.
