Today’s Exercise: Deadlifts
Brief Description: of all the exercises, this exercise works more muscle grooves than any other exercise. It’s other benefits include better posture and grip strength, better overall strength, great for weight loss and helps improve your EVERY DAY LIFE lifting (groceries, moving boxes/furniture, landscaping, etc.)
Muscles Worked: Legs (Quads, Hamstrings, Glutes), Lower Back, Traps, and Forearms
Common Things To Avoid: “Rounding” Your Back, Shrugging Shoulders, Overextending the Hips, Hips Too Low (Doing a Squat Instead of a Deadlift)
Key Safety Tips: 1. “Strong Back” and Engage the Core. 2. Drive from your Heels/Legs rather than using your back to lift off. 3. Start Light (Use Dumbbells, Kettlebells, or just the Barbell without Weights.)
