By-Law Change Approved – Dues & Late Fees

At the September General Membership Meeting, the Board unanimously approved a resolution to present to the membership for a by-law change regarding annual dues.

The proposal is as follows:
• Annual dues remain due on February 1 of each year.
• $25 late fee applies to payments received after February 15.
• Membership will lapse if dues are not paid by the end of February.

This change is intended to keep our records current and ensure the club can plan its budget responsibly, and streamline removing non-paying members. The Board reserves the right make hardship exceptions.

The Club currently has no openings until next February, but get your application in and get on the waiting list. If you have a friend who would make a good match for the Club, have them fill out an application located on our website www.columbiasportsmanclub.com for consideration. Best Email a duplicate to Greg Narez President [email protected] send $225.00 total, the $100 initiation fee, and $125.00 yearly dues. The next dues will be owed on February 1st, of each year.

We are a member-operated stocked fishing lake that gives access to members and their immediate families use of the lake, pavilion, and clubhouse.

Resolution of the Board/Officers April 1st 2024
pertaining to Clubhouse reservations

The Board/Officers unanimously agree to the following rules about the number of reservations allowed by Members going forward.
The Board and Officers met, and after listening to Members who expressed view views at the Board meeting, and emails from Members expressing their opinions, the Board approved the following resolution:
1. Members are limited to 3 reservations in any one-year February 1st to February 1st except if a date is not reserved 30 days prior to any date, that spot is open to any Member regardless of the number of reservations that Member has or had/made.
2. No reservation for the following year will be accepted by the Clubhouse Chairman before October 1st of the previous year.
3. Any reservation made for a date after February 1st of the following year is tentative, and contingent on the Member’s dues being paid by February 1st, otherwise, the Member’s reservation/s will be released back to the Membership.
4. For Members who have already reserved the Clubhouse more than 3 times, and/or reservations into 2025, their reservations will not be rescinded.
5. Members must host any event they reserved the Clubhouse for. Reserving the Clubhouse for a friend to hold an event, is not hosting an event.
6. If there is a conflict between any by-laws, Clubhouse Facility Rental Agreement, or Clubhouse User Guidelines, this resolution will take precedent.

We have a kayak no longer hanging on the boat house. Be sure the drain plugs are installed in the bottom. There are spare plugs in the boathouse. The oar is inside the kayak. The same combination as the gate. Life jackets in the boathouse. Watch out for wasps.
