Called "cotton" notes, These notes were authorized by resolutions of the South Carolina General Assembly to celebrate the 150th anniversary (sesquicentennial) of the formation of the U.S. Constitution. Notably, these commemorative items were made from cotton products, a significant material for South Carolina's economy at the time. The front of the note features the four South Carolina signers of the U.S. Constitution: John Rutledge, Charles Cotesworth Pinckney, Charles Pinckney, and Pierce Butler.
1,400 sets made for SC. 300 sets were made for each other state (at that time). The notes pictured were made for Pennsylvania (PA) and each state governor was gifted set numbered 101. Listed by Austin Sheheen as s-1075-1078 respectively. Despite the numbers made, these are NOT common.

Cool pick-up at Georgia Numismatic Association show in Dalton.
"CSA" watermarked paper (sheet) specialized paper ordered by the Confederacy during the Civil War, often featuring double-lined "CSA" letters. Seized from the blockade runner Bermuda in 1862, much of this paper was used by the U.S. Treasury for printing Second and Third Issue Fractional Currency proofs.
Double-lined block letters "CSA", with each letter roughly 3 inches wide. Full sheets, often measuring around 13 by 16 inches, contain eight "CSA" watermarks and usually feature a horizontal crease from storage.
Used to print proofs of fractional currency, with many pieces holding historical significance due to their connection to both the Confederacy and the Union Treasury.
Full, uncut sheets are extremely rare, with many having been cut up over the past 150 years.
These rare items are highly sought after by collectors for their historical connection to the Civil War and the financial history of the era.
